Never a dull moment in Bankside Gallery. They exhibit some of the most beautiful artwork created by artists. I always leave this place feeling inspired. Definitely worth checking out!

As part of my two day art binge I visited this gallery and I think it is a great space. Most of the art is prints, but there also watercolours and a few drawings. All of it is really affordable. Because of that and the really nice man behind the till I forgive them them the few tourist prints they sell.

A little gallery tucked away, but close to the waterfront. It is a quiet traditional gallery that has a nice mix of art work, local scenes and scenes that are refreshingly different from the usual-naked –woman, mad crazy styles that you see in London all too much. It is a little quirky but it is like a little adventure looking through the pictures. A nice place to buy a picture, although watch out, there are a lot of limited editions and unoriginal prints. After going through some of the work and complimenting the work of one of the artists on Twitter, was disappointed that the artist coudn’t bothered to reply back. I won’t be buying his work! Recommend it for lone travellers and for couples, and for those who want to reflect and be inspired.

Always worth popping into this small gallery and home to the Royal Watercolour Society. Here you can also buy affordable art, I like the variety of art on display in this small space, and the often seeming randomness of the hangings.

The Bankside Gallery has nothing on the hype and fame of the Tate Modern, but whenever visiting the Tate I always leave time to look around this little gallery next door. Home to the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers and the Royal Watercolour society, the exhibitions change regularly but are consistently of a high standard, featuring a variety of artists working in very different ways. The gallery is free with most of the work available to purchase for generally reasonable prices.
