This is the place of all debauchery. It can make for a really great night but I’d recommend booking an area or going with a really great group of people. The downstairs can get really overcrowded but the music is great. The upstairs is probably a lot nicer. There’s an area you can book which seems to have a bed in… how odd. Their cocktails are great and you can get Giant Pornstar Martini’s for £21 which is fun. It does get pretty messy later in the night and the bouncers and security are pretty unforgiving. I agree with other reviews that say it’s trying to be something it’s not. It’s a good night out, the club just needs to relax a little.

Looking for a quick, straightforward drink smack dab in the middle of Soho? This should be on your radar. Granted I only spent 15 minutes here drinking a delightful Aperol spritz, but it was enough to get a feel for their strengths. I was situated at the bar, and every direction I turned seemed to be a different set of humans engaging on varied levels. There were dates, friend catch ups, meetings… and that’s what Bar Soho can do you for. An everyday bar for everyday situations ranging from a first Tinder date to closing a deal. And with a nice selection of well-priced drinks and savory food items, you can’t go wrong. Everyone needs a bar like this.

Whatever the emoticon is for crap it’s the equivalent of this place. Beyond horrendous — stay away!

Came here on a Saturday for a friend’s birthday. Thank god the company was great because the rest was pretty dire — overcrowded, music too loud to talk over but too bad to dance too, expensive, weak drinks and a queue to the bar so deep they really ought to be providing movies to those who choose to wait. Would not recommend.

From walking in and being told to take my beanie off, I was angry, literally a first in the wide range of clubs I’ve been in. If my hair’s a mess, you let me keep my hat on, it’s not like I bopped in with a hoody and trainers on, but from the get go that tells you what sort of place it thinks it is. The place is trying to be Mahiki in Soho, and proves that Soho club owners do not know what they’re doing outside of the gay club scene. From the get go, the music was absolutely terrible, and what of it was good was remixed almost beyond recognition. Absolutely awful. An area was reserved for my friend’s birthday and when we arrived it was full, dirty, and messy, and we had to wait ten minutes while they poured the drunk women out of it, after fighting our way through the huge crowd in the bar. The drinks I tasted from my friends tasted like calpol, they refused to serve my boyfriend directly after our friend for absolutely no reason, tore up his coupon in front of him(that they actively told my friend who’s birthday it was to give them to all of her guests) because they were«getting too many of them», and before that kept changing the rules on them anyway. The booked area wasn’t monitored or cordoned off, something I’ve never experienced before in reserving an area, especially when it’s paid for, and as a result most of the people in the club ended up standing in our area and eyeing up the reserved signs as if they were offended by them. I felt uncomfortable, I felt angry, and they had run out of lime when we arrived. On a Saturday night. At 9pm. All of the bar staff were wearing shirts that said«I *heart* Bar Soho» and it felt extremely uncomfortable and they all looked unhappy. By the time we left(twenty minutes after arriving), the place was practically empty. On a Saturday night. Twenty minutes after being packed. Meanwhile I looked across the road and said hello to my friends pouring in to G-A-Y Bar as the queue continued around the block as my boyfriend and I went home.

Absolutely. Terrible. Paid £15 for a reservation for company drinks and was rewarded with a dirty table, filthy glasses, warm wine, a table that I’d like to see four pigeons sit around comfortably(having booked for 8) and the rudest service I’ve ever come across. I wouldn’t treat an infested rat the way they treated us — dirty looks, shrugged shoulders, the works. Planning to take our second bottle of wine(which was so generously included as part of our prepaid booking) and take it back to the office to drink. No redeeming features. If I could award it zero stars I would.

Don’t remember much but what I remember is the friendly staff, especially given that I was a drunk American stumbling in from the Balans down the street. Closed the place down and went with the staff over to Club 49. If I can find this place again, I’ll definitely pop in!

Great bar with a buzzin atmosphere and loads of pretty girls to talk to! Drinks are reasonably priced, it is quick to get served and the place is clean and tidy. It also seems to be free of blokes looking for a fight as they have been everywhere else and are in here for a late drink(this is a massive bonus) will def go back make sure you are in a mixed group though as groups of lads will be turned away the doormen are friendly though so when we managed to attach ourselves to some ladies they let us in with a pat on the back and a friendly smile see you soon Bar Soho!

Not bad. A wipe-dry bar in Soho which meets all your requirments without ever really exciting you. Lively with loud music and reasonable bar prices. It’s the sort of place you can imagine ending up on an office party night. We spent most of our time upstairs which was quieter and less crowded — good place for a drink and chat. Half price bottles before 8pm on a Friday — £15 for a bottle of prosecco. Not bad that.

Loads of space inside and plenty of screens to watch the football, look out for the happy hour with some crazy drink prices. All so has some outdoor seating to enjoy the sun in summer. Be nice to the toilet attendant and you might get a free lollypop. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was a nice size crowd with a good atmosphere but the best thing about it was I was never waiting too long at the bar to be served. If you’re walking past stop in for a nice cool beverage, I know I will be.

A straight-ish bar in the middle of Soho. It’s misleading really. I like that they have ample outdoor seating if you don’t want to be inside with the humidity and crowds So the outdoors seating is really its only saving grace. Aside from that, there’s really nothing special about this bar besides the fact that it’s always full on Friday or Saturday night so you’re bound to meet some intoxicated gender-of-your-choice to have sex with you. Cheers!

Really nice bar. Central and great for people watching. I went on a rainy day and the doors were wide open to attract passersby in for a cozy cocktail or a pint. I liked the look and feel of the place. It is pretty welcoming, though it may take a while to get a drink.

The atmosphere is usually lively and I always find an interest in the music. Sometimes they will play Top 40s and then mix with the oldies, as well as 90s Hip-Hop and R&B. Very random sequence but you can’t help but grab you friend and get up to dance when you hear your favorite songs from the 90s.(i.e. Coolio — Gangsta’s Paradise) I would have never imagined dancing to this song in London in 2010, a comical but entertaining moment. I would recommend Bar Soho on a Saturday rather than the weekdays. It’s really dead on the weekdays.

Truly hummin’ on Tuesday. Friendly staff & doormen, reasonable prices, decent music. What’s not to like? They seem to do half price food before 8(check first!) and are in a great Soho location. No scary chavvy types either. Yeah. Like it, recommend it.

I was at Bar Soho with friends last night and had a really good time. We went there at around midnight after spending some time in the Alphabet Bar. Great combination actually. We wanted to dance and had booked an area in the club. Great cocktails to choose from, good atmosphere and rather busy for a Thursday evening. The music was really good & we ordered platters to share as well which were not disappointing. They encouraged us to move to LVPO after that for free — which we did! Great night!

When you approach this place from Old Compton Street, you do wonder whether to go inside. There’s a lot of screens showing sports and music playing. That said, the music wasn’t that loud and conversation was possible and the screens didn’t distract. Seating layout is good with plenty of space. We went there for a cocktail — they have an extensive list and only use premium spirits whilst the price for cocktails were very reasonable considering this is a prime location. All in all, if you forget the slightly American styling and in good company, this place is actually a lovely find!

4th stop on our pub crawl: Bar Soho. I wasn’t really enticed by Bar Soho. It was all the things a proper bar should be – decent music, dark interior, appropriate noise level, etc. but it still lacked some sort of spark. The bartenders were not the most talkative sort but they were able to make a good assortment of standard cocktails. Not really a lot of seating area and the TV screens projected ambient images/shadow figures on abrasively colorful backgrounds. I can’t really explain it. The drinks are fine, but it’s pretty difficult to screw up a vodka red bull. The atmosphere just didn’t really do much for me, but I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt with 3 stars because it’s just personal preference, not anything they specifically did wrong.

I have always had a pretty decent time here, granted I was always amongst good company. Music is cheesy and can get quite loud, but the general atmosphere is loud and fun and the crowd jovial. It can get quite packed in the weekends, and you find yourself squashed at odd angles. But Bar Soho is more fun when there are more people about. However, the drinks and food choice is so– so and cost way too much.

I like Bar Soho as it fulfils all my required bar needs. They play good music, it is dark, the food is good and it isn’t to expensive. The cocktail list is not the most extravagant but they make the classics well and their contemporary twists are nice. I tend to go late afternoon, early evening before the madness begins so I can relax in the darkened surroundings with a platter, a glass of wine and a friend to chat to. Bar Soho are great for bookings and try to accommodate any size party. They often have events on where you may have to pay a door charge. It is best to check the website beforehand. All in all Bar Soho is a safe bet bar that rarely produces a bad night.

I have come here on two seperate occasions and both times I have had a wicked night. The bar staff were really nice and friendly and recommended some excellent cocktails and the whole plcae had a very relaxed but vibrant atmosphere. The interior is reserved but funky with lots of dark wood and low-level lighting. My only gripe is the music which was bloody awful and the price of the drinks. It is on hot summer days that Bar Soho really comes into its own. The double doors that line the front of the bar are all thrown wide open meaning that even inside you feel a part of the action on the street. I love coming to Soho for the sights and sounds, the rather bizarre goings on and the people, and there’s no better place to sit and watch as Bar Soho.
