After a yoga class a great place to hang out and gather a couple of thoughts. Over a nice vital vitamin bowl(right name?) with edamame and bummous and a cappuccino(both £5.5) I sat in rainy London watching people and feeling life. Very nice staff and nice atmosphere in general. Cosy wooden furniture !

This is a chain but what separates it from the likes of Pret and Eat is that the sandwiches are fresh and in the open air under a counter, rather than stuffed into cardboard boxes. Salads are in boxes, obviously, but they looked packed with variety of ingredients and they looked fresh. I ordered a Brie and bacon sandwich and the staff heated it up for me — which already puts it way ahead of other chains. Coffees are on the cheap side — approx £1.75 — but they’re also on the weak side. This almost led me to mark it a 3, but then I tried a Millionaires Shortbread cake which was chocolatey, buttery and delicious and highly likely to be home-made. So I’d go back for food but perhaps try somewhere else for a post lunch caffeine fix.

We stepped off the train at St Pancras and found our first Benugo, where we began our love affair. Today was our fourth day in London, and the fourth day we were getting Benugo for breakfast(our third location). Our typical order: — a cappuccino and the Londoner — a mocha and the Eggs Royale The coffees were good, but the Londoner was missing tomatoes, and the Eggs Royale contained a fraction of the eggs that I’d had for the past 3 days. We talked to them, and they added tomatoes and eggs respectively, which was good. Neither sandwich came wrapped as they had at the other locations. The difference COULD be attributed to the fact that this location is considered a ‘restaurant’ instead of a ‘café’ …they brought our food instead of us having to pick it up, and they collected our dishes. But…just beware! This location doesn’t seem up to par.

Alles sehr frisch hier.

Good white iced americano! Very good price £2.50 and stylish place. Didn’t try the food but it certainly looked good. Free wifi available and plenty of sitting

I worked down the street from Benugo for over a year, and frequented this branch at least once per week. My favourite order was a falafel salad with hummus and roasted peppers. The food is not mind-blowing, but it is fresh-tasting and not too expensive. I also liked their large white Americanos, which are inexpensive and made with organic milk. Again, the coffee is not exceptional, but for the price and convenience, it could not be beat. Benugo is a reliable chain serving quality food and drinks at reasonable prices.

This is not a bad coffee/sandwich shop chain. The best thing is the coffee prices and that they don’t charge extra for soya. There aren’t many places in this area in which you can get a soya latte for £1.60. But it’s not a wonderful coffee, mind you, and there are a couple of places around where to get a really good one. So the choice here will depend mainly on the budget I have set for my caffeine fix. The food is nice. I tried the New Yorker in the branch they have at The Museum of London. It was tasty and had a good size for me, and at £4.00 to take away I found it reasonable. Again, there is so much choice around for sandwiches and salads and soups… Also the staff wasn’t particularly friendly or nice when I ordered my drink. I suppose they were stressed/tired, as it was lunchtime and quite busy, but still there wasn’t a queue whatsoever. I remember the girl that served me at The Museum of London was much more relaxed and kind(maybe because of their clientele there?)

The place is ideal to lunch quickly. You can choose many salads and good wraps. You can also have hot dishes and they prepare it in front of you. The morning, they have great croissants and good coffees. If you want, the place has enough spaces and comfortable chairs to sit down. For my part, I always take the wrap of salad nicoise. It’s really great. I have the impression that they copy the french food :) I put only four stars because I find theirs prices are a little expensive.

Going to buck the trend on this one and give it 4 stars with the caveat I did only have a cappuccino and almond croissant — which I guess even the most inept would struggle to screw up. Coffee and croissant, which came to the reasonable sum of £3.50, were both fantastic. Also surprisingly chilled given it is a 2 minute walk from Oxford Circus, far more so than the other coffee shops in the area.

What a wonderful place to grab a coffee or some lunch. Freshly prepared food makes this one of the better places to grab a sandwich from in addition to the attentive staff and freshness of the food. The coffee is inexpensive yet lovely and has quickly become a favourite haunt for my work colleagues.

This café is a great location and would be an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of Oxford and Regent Street. Benugos café concept is ‘simple food with friendly and efficient service’. Well, I suppose one out of two isn’t bad. I have frequented this place on a number of occasions and constantly battle with the staff to get the order correct. On several occasions they have got the order wrong, which doesn’t help if you have a short lunch break, and they are never apologetic or polite. It’s a shame as they could do so much better with the local trade from nearby offices. Still, there’s plenty of other places nearby to choose from!
