Tiny rooms but it’s London so that’s to be expected. How tiny? So tiny that you can’t actually close the bathroom door unless you step into the shower stall. The bedroom was also tiny. You either get into bed or stand up. It’s pretty much impossible for two people to move around at the same time. If you are large, overweight or obese, consider somewhere else. If you are small or skinny, you will be fine. Rooms are freshly renovated and very modern. Ours had a good LCDTV, and hot water maker. I did really like the modern décor including the huge shower head, usb charging docks, and ample outlets. Free drink at the bar when you check in but that may be for BW premier members. Breakfast is offered at extra cost and offered in the basement. It’s very basic. Some bread, fruit, cereal and that’s pretty much it. Best part is that it’s just 4 min walk from Paddington station.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and while it was old and the water took forever to get hot it was in a convenient location and staff friendly enough. After my last stay here the week of 8÷23÷15 to 8÷29÷15 I will never stay at this location again and if you are American never to stay in this hotel again. They will treat you like crap. But especially if you are traveling with someone that has never been to London and is older. I am only going to list a few of the things that were exceptionally wrong/horrible 1. left luggage at hotel as we were a little early. I figure we drop it off and go explore. No problem, but when we return I ask if we should grab our luggage since we are going up to the room and they say no they will get it. They never brought the luggage up to the room. Took a shower waited for a little bit then went downstairs and they were just standing at the desk helping no one. 2. The other individual in the room wanted an extra blanket one night and was told by the night staff counter help that that is difficult to receive because the blankets are in storage. WTF? You are a hotel and in the service industry she wasn’t asked for a breakfast or some strange artifact. It was just a blanket. Next day went down and talk to the morning clerk about it and received the blanket in hand at the time of the request. 3. TV stopped working in the morning. Before leaving for work(6:30am) that day told front desk that TV not work it’s not a big deal, but please send someone in to check it out. Returned from work around 5pm and TV still not working and outlets not working either. Inform the desk again the front desk guys comes up to check something’s out and of course he can’t fix anything. I wasn’t expecting him to either. We end up going out and when we return later nothing still works and we have to change rooms. 4. Keys to new room do not work. So after being out we come back to our hotel room and in the process of changing room because the tv and outlets don’t work and the keys to the room do not work. 5. Internet sucks. Hard to connect and need a new password for each device. Stupid. 6. Check out and front desk as if everything was alright at which time I say«This was the worst experience I’ve ever had and I will never stay here again». Front desk person just stares blankly and I left for my flight. Overall I would recommend never to stay here even with the beautiful remodeling upgrade. Staff are not helpful. Matter of fact its almost as if I was in their way. I forgot to mention I am a Diamond reward member as I Travel a lot and this experience has really made re-think my usage of Best Western for any of my traveling. Also I never received a survey about how my experience was. I wonder why?

Will stay again!

This place is in need of a lick of paint. Considering the price we paid to stay there it was in a surprising state of disrepair– flaking paint, improperly joining door fittings, dodgy taps and everything. We were on the ground floor and far too close to the staff smoking area so if we tried to open the window, all we got was the smell of tobacco. Whilst service was friendly and polite we were pretty unimpressed and will be looking for somewhere better next time we head to London.
