The food at Bill’s is just awful. I’ve been going for 2-years, now, and have really been disappointed with each visit. Today was my last visit. I’ve continued to take my kids because it is such a large space that is child and buggy-friendly, the staff are great, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and getting a table is relatively easy. I cannot, however, get over how bland, semi-warm, and dissatisfying the food is, without fail, upon every visit. It’s a chain restaurant with chain food, and sadly, this spot seems to have gotten everything right… except for the food.

Great brunch/breakfast! Lots of variety, staff were helpful, and great interior café. Museli granola is gorgeous!

I have been to Bill’s three times now and think that once again Richard Caring has backed the right people with the right ideas. Andy Bassadone and Chris Benians have proved their abilities by developing first Strada and then Cote. The design is quirky and effective, the staff members are pleasant and helpful, and they react in the right way if there is anything wrong with the meal. The second time I went I had a lovely cod dish but the fish was not cooked all the way through, no problem as that was replaced by a properly cooked one and removed from the bill, excellent and sensible behaviour, turning a negative into a positive. Last night we were a party of eleven, but they coped admirably and we really enjoyed our meal, my fish pie was a huge portion and contained a commendable variety of fish in it. Lastly and most importantly the bill was not huge, even with the optional 12.5% service added on.

Opened few days ago and was advertising all day breakfast so dropped in late morning to try them out. The place was fairly busy for being between normal breakfast and lunch hour but it may be because they’re new. Sat in the window by the door and around noon the ‘baby pram armada’ moved in, so I had a joke with the manager about housing more kids than an average nursery. But that’s Chiswick. The staff was very welcoming and the service was good. Expeditious without being pushy. The décor is quite funky and rustic giving a country feel. Bill’s also sell their own range of products ranging from chocolate to apple juice. Had Bill’s Breakfast which is basically a traditional English breakfast. Well presented and tasty though on a small plate for the amount of food. Will definitely go back for dinner when it quiets down a bit after the buzz of being a new place. Hopefully the housewives will then have left the kids at home.
