Very trendy and vibrant. Drinks are nothing to write home about, the usual pub style/prices. It’s pretty loud inside so having a casual conversation might be difficult and all the cigarette smoke from the people smoking at the tables outside travels indoors, so don’t expect to escape that just because you sit inside.

The chap and I headed over to the launch of Origins Of, at Blessings in Spitalfields and it was rather scrummy! Situated at 76 Commercial Street in Bethnal Green, Origins Of is in a perfect location for a post-Spitalfields Market shop up. The bright colours and welcoming atmosphere are not to be missed. The artwork that adorned the walls was quirky and I loved it! But the bit you really want to hear about… The food! We tried the spice infused fried chicken with scotch bonnet mayo and it was just as good as it sounds, if not better! And the beetroot falafel was equally good… We dipped in tahini sauce that was also homemade and pretty divine. I’m a bit of a tahini fan at the moment! There is a few more bits on the menu that I really want to try as I know for a fact I will be returning, and we spoke so highly of the food that my parents actually visited at the weekend and loved it too! Origins Of won’t be sticking around for long so make sure you don’t miss out!

Came here for the pop-up ‘Origins Of’ launch. We were fashionably late, but I was impressed that they kept the food rolling through for another couple of hours. My favourite was the popped-cauliflower nuggets, but the sweet potato falafel tacos and fries were pretty good too! The bartenders looked knackered but still did a good line in banter and we got twice the free drinks we were meant to, so all around, a win ;)

I got a seat at 6:15pm on a Thursday night. That alone is worth gold in London. But… billed as a cocktail spot, how did I end up with a boring gin and tonic? I walked in and, with no one at all at the bar ordering I asked if they had a cocktail menu. The bartender looked halfheartedly around and mumbled ‘Yeah … somewhere…‘ Ok, well then here’s what I like: refreshing, crisp, not sugary/syrupy and gin or vodka based. I got offered a daquiri. Between two bartenders, having listened to my taste, I got offered a rum based drink circa 1976. I’m all about kitsch and updating classics, but would you describe a daquiri and crisp, not sugary and vodka based? Maybe they panicked after being put on the spot but I did ask for a menu.

Cute little spot in Shoreditch for some quality adult beverages. I only experienced the first floor, so I can’t speak to the rest of the establishment, but I found the interior to be cozy and inviting — and probably a nice spot for a date! The bartenders are friendly and quick, so no complaints in my book. There is seating outdoors on the sidewalk where you can people watch and smoke cigarettes, if that’s your thing. Good spot and reminds me a bit of my home, NYC!

I was looking for a place to grab a few drinks with friends around Shoreditch last week, and Blessings came up on Unilocal extremely high rated, so I thought I’d give it a try. We were not disappointed with this three level small bar. Ground floor with seating on the pavement so you can people watch, some seating inside, plus a second and third level. The third level is a cute little rooftop patio. Staff were friendly and helpful. These guys are pretty serious about their cocktails, the house presecco was great, wish I’d written down the name of the winery.

Really well stocked bar, with friendly staff who know their spirits. The atmosphere here is really nice, and never seems to be overly packed. Come here as often as I can. Makes for a great birthday drinks venue or just for a date, catch up with friends. Pretty sure they rent upstairs for events too.

Top spritz in London. Nice menu. Unassuming atmosphere(which is always a plus, in East London). Overall a brilliant place for the occasional drink.

Great little date spot near Spitalfields market. The first floor has a quiet pub vibe with reasonably-priced drinks. The second floor is super cozy with couches and a working fireplace. Continue up one more level, squeeze through a teeeenytiny little door and there you have it my friends: a rooftop terrace in London.

Easily my favourite place to go after work. My colleagues and I like to head here after work and unwind with a glass, or three, of wine, beer or spirits. The staff and owners are absolutely wonderful. I’m a big fan of the second floor and the comfy, cosy couches and fire place.
