Is there anyone that doesn’t love a good blowout? Blo offers no cut, no colour service — strictly blow dries and hair styling only. It’s a massively popular trend in the States, and definitely a welcome addition! My hair is really thick, and quite hard to style — I blow dry it almost everyday, but as an amateur it doesn’t really seem to hold a style for very long. Luckily, this isn’t the sort of thing that phases the team at Blo. They have a whole ‘hair menu’ of styles to choose from — from intricate fishtail plaits and braided hairstyles to more traditional blowouts. The time it took to wash and style my hair took one hour — a massive feat for my thick mane! All the products they used were vegan, organic and gluten-free, and smelled absolutely incredible. I was able to relax, chat to my lovely stylist and have a cup of tea through the whole process — really very civilised. On weekday mornings, they also do a breakfast bar with pastries, fruit and porridge — which is such a fantastic idea! I was absolutely over the moon with the results. So bouncy, I felt totally glamorous — all for just £28! I would really recommend the experience, especially before a night out on the town! You can also get your nails done at Blo, a perfect way to get ready for the weekend. I would wholeheartedly recommend the experience — they also have a loyalty card, meaning you can get a styling for free after you go a few times. It’s perfect for a weekend treat, or to get before a big important meeting for work.

Same feel and level of service as its US based counterpart salons. Convenient location, just across the street from Jubilee market in the lower courtyard of the south hall of the Piazza. Wouldn’t call it a peaceful blowout experience though because of all the raucous of the covent garden crowds milling about outside and operatic singing shows directly in front of the establishment — but who goes to a hair salon for peace and quiet anyway? You want great hair fast and that they deliver. Their hours are great, considering it’s difficult to find salons open before work hours and late evening. These guys open early at 7am for their«breakfast club», in which your blowout price includes a breakfast pastry or porridge. Open late until 9pm Thurs — Sat as well. Easy to book online via secure-booker, receptionist offers you a beverage(tea, coffee, water, and the occasional glass of prosseco if you’re lucky) and the latest magazines, and you’re rewarded for loyalty with a £22.50 per blowout price on a pre-purchased 8 blowout«blo tab»(the normal rate is £28, which I find to be pretty standard in the London market. At £35, the ubiquitous Rush salons are outrageously expensive compared to this place). Everyone in the salon is super friendly. I’m constantly running late and they are very accommodating — not that I suggest making this a habit. See my girl Ines. She’s pretty new to the salon, but does a consistently excellent job. She gives you a thorough wash and doesn’t miss a single millimeter of your scalp, which I feel a lot of stylists overlook as an important part of a good wash and blowout.

Loved this place! I am a big fan of Blo Bars in the states. I go to the local Blo in Miami all the time so I know what to expect in terms of quality. Was surprised this place didn’t have any Unilocal reviews but since I love the brand, I gave it a shot. It was a bit hard to find but once you’re there, it’s absolutely delightful. Ashleigh gave me the perfect Hollywood blowout and we had great fun talking as well. Very friendly girls, great prices and amazing blowout. Thanks!
