Blue Door Bicycles

Took my boyfriends road bike in with a short list of repairs, the haughty woman behund the counter totally deflated me with her arrogance amd told me I ought to have booked ahead and they couldn’t take it. Left in tears. Do NOT recommend.

This shop is fantastic. Staff are friendly and knowledgable. If they don’t have something they will order it in for you and can make recommendations if you’re unsure. They sell a lovely range of men’s, women’s and children’s bikes (and trikes) as well as all the accessories and a selection of clothing.

I was in total dire straits today, needed to find a local bike shop that could repair the tyres on my electric bike (not necessarily straight forward) and on a Sunday (most places were closed). And then I remember seeing Blue Door Bicycles at a local fair in Upper Norwood… and a quick surf on the net and hoorah discovered they were open. I popped in and the staff were super helpful and friendly, turned out the tyres just needed pumping up but the mechanic was very patient and taught me what I needed to do. I purchased a new pump as well… they had a good selection. It also has a very good range of bikes and accessories, and I believe you can test electric bikes there too. It’s local small businesses like these we all need to keep supporting, as you won’t get the same personal customer service with any of the bigger chain stores.
