Nice relaxed atmosphere, but very small restaurant. The service was good, once you were able to flag down a waitress. We found the menu a little confusing when it came to ordering the main course. The starters were very good and the highlight of the meal. But the main course was not to the same and standard none of the three of us finished it.

I actually wanted to go and try the Thai food at the Pineapple around the corner… but all their tables were full and we were already hungry, so we came here instead. First impressions: — I had a feeling that it might be nice food(it is almost always busy when we’ve wandered past in the evening) — We heard several patrons speaking in Thai to the waitress(always a good sign…) — The menu is pretty large and sometimes seems quite Chinese-y Yums: — The tod mun kow phod(sweetcorn cake things) were really good, maybe a little greasy. — We had some Sai Oue(grilled spicy sausage) that was gooogeous. The spices were like a Thai fish-cake…but in sausage form. Seriously nice but seriously spicy-hot. — The Pad Thai was really tasty — We also had some lamb and herbs from the house specials menu that was also really nice. I think we paid less than £20 each, and with excellent service and really nice food I thought this place was a bargain. I have a feeling we might come back for take-away as well. I also think the review that gave them one star because they added a 10% service charge is really harsh! Our waitress definitely deserved it!

Stopped by on a bit of a whim last night to grab a quick dinner — and quick it was! I was in and out in 20 minutes. After reading through the surprisingly extensive menu at such a small place, I had stir fried chicken with cashew and chilie with a side of coconut rice. The rice was very good — sweet but not too sweet. The chicken was pretty good. A tad stringy, a bit too much bell pepper and onion and not enough actual chicken. Overall though, it was a nice quick place to grab a meal. They had no problems with me eating alone — and, in fact, another lone diner came in a few minutes later — and were as accommodating to me as they were to the parties ordering more food and drinks. I’d probably return if I’m in the mood for a quick bite — I never see the place full, so hopefully I’ll be able to grab the table next to the open window again!

What can I say, the food is good, I’ve had better but I have also had a lot worse. I have been there many times but tonight I was shocked to see they have suddenly decided to add a «compulsory» 10% service charge, why have so many restaurants in London suddenly started to adopt this unfair practice, I would normally leave more than 10% but dont like being told what to leave. Oh well better find a new Thai restaurant.

This is one of the best Thai restaurants we’ve ever been to. The staff are so friendly and very attentive. The food is beautiful and amazing value with dishes between £5 and £7. You must go!

Tufnell park is where Elvis would have retired had he finished his toilet break. Had he lived he would of also have the pleasure of sampling one of the many delicious food establishments that Fortess Road has to offer. One of those being the Blue Moon. Whilst I have no comment to make on the dining in experience, I can say that every dish that I have ordered and taken back to Château Derbyshire(The house I live in owned by Tommy my flat mate) has been fantastic. My recommendations would be the chicken Massaman curry(7 nuggets) or the Duck Red curry(6.50 nuggets) — both go well with some steamed jasmin rice which will help soak up the super delicious sauce(my only criticism being that there is too much of it) the fishcakes and the seafood mix are also equally delicious if you don’t fancy a curry and rice. For two people to eat comfortably you’re looking at about 20 squirrels. Not bad considering the ‘I’ve just made mess in my trousers’ factor. of course you will need a delicious bottle of wine to accompany the meal, but you can grab a cheap bottle from Sainsburys next door. All in all a great place to get balls deep in some Thai… er wait… No I didn’t mean it like that… You know what i mean. Sexy Rob

Bare cupboards and empty bellies, but seriously tired of the usual take away choices. The answer was to name a cuisine and search Unilocal for the object of our desires. Sans menu it was a stab in the dark bit Mr. C braved the task of the telephone order. Truly a 3 star experience: filling, tasty and quick. Red Thai curry was strangely runny but spiced just right. Pad Thai was nice, interpret away. As an alternative to other Asian options, Blue Moonis a good option.

I’d left it too late to make dinner so opted for an all too familiar takeaway. I have exhausted all my regular haunts and decided it was time for something new. I wanted Thai food delivered to my door. There wasn’t much to choose from and the only one in my locale was Blue Moon Café. I gave it a go. The ordering process was painless and the food was promised within 30mins. True to their word my door bell was ringing within half an hour. The prawn spring rolls were tasty, and not greasy. The Pad Thai was very good and although my red curry initially seemed very runny, I couldn’t help but enjoy it. The coconut rice was also lovely. All in all Blue Moon Café did not amaze me, but it had a wholesome, satisfying home cooked taste that I’d be happy to add to my takeaway hot list. I’ll be back Blue Moon.

I go to this place very often and like it a lot! The food is lovely, and as mentioned by curvy charlie, the place really is atmospheric with its candles and cosyness. The service is usually very good(with very few exceptions), and the menu is very varied. Very recommendable!

As is everything in the wonders of Tufnell Park, it is positioned just near the tube station, easy to find and get to places. It has recently been done up a couple of years ago, and it looks better for it. It is nicely lit, and has a café feel to it, very cosy and intimate. The food’s very good, highly recommended, although the portions aren’t huge, it is more of a snack, or early dinner! Still worth checking out, as its cheap and cheerful, and if you love thai food then this is where you should go.
