A little bit pricey but the food was really good! Decent portion too. Staff are also really nice. Also took a pecan pie away, it was okay, but recommend Lisboa a little further up the road for the best Portuguese cakes outside of Portugal.

Today, I had lunch next to Cersei Lannister & Catelyn Stark here, so you know this place is sort of a hidden gem on Portobello Road, just go pass the touristy areas. I have been greeted with friendly services both times I’ve been here. The atmosphere is really relaxed and generally quiet. All day brunch & breakfast is just AMAZING. I especially recommend their stacks(which are on roasted potato hash) + banana french toast but ask for pain au chocolat ;)

I went in just after opening on a Saturday morning, looking for a nice but reasonable breakfast that also involved a huge pot of tea. I was absolutely not disappointed. Although the place is quite small, and I’m sure can get quite busy, when I went, there were many tables to choose from. The waitress/barista was on her own, and very apologetic about the delay in taking my order(she was busy making drinks for the group in front of me). Once I ordered, it only took a few minutes for my tea to arrive, and only a few more for my breakfast. The tea was wonderful– a whole pot of earl grey– and the French toast(Bluebelles’ Mess) was fantastic. It’s a croissant French toast served with crème fraîche and bananas. The portion was just right for me, and reasonably priced for London at 7,50. In sum, this is a wonderful little neighborhood gem at the(blissfully) quiet end of Portobello Road, with excellent food and friendly service. I will absolutely be going back!

I had Breakfast Sardini(if im right) with cappuccino which were prepared well and seasoned properly. I was satisfied with what they served for its in my neighbourhood and i was with my friends in sunday afternoon. But after walking out of the place, soon i realised that i had been overcharged by £1.50 for fried egg which i had never ordered myself. I hope they were not making extra margins that way but if anyone asks me if i want to go there again? 75% on ‘No’.

Great eggs, reasonable service. Not that crowed for a brunch place in Portobello Road. Worth a try!

I’ve been living in Portobello Road for seven years and always looked for the perfect cosy café where you can work on your laptop and get some great food. I finally found it. Bluebelles is bright and beautifully decorated. Staff is friendly and helpful, they serve all day brunch which never dissapoints, lovely fresh juices and best of all this is the perfect place to get some work done. Strong Internet connection. If you are in Notting hill area this is the one for you! Great Sunday brunch place if you want to get together with friends.

Great eggs. I can’t make scrambled eggs like that at home. Really good coffee. Not too touristy. Quick service. Had five breakfasts there in a week. All were excellent. French toast was outstanding.

This is a fabulous place for brunch anytime. We had the eggs Benedict and a goat cheese salad between us. Both were perfect. The eggs were just the way i like them. The cappuccino was tasty-better than most in town. The staff was charming. I will definitely return with pleasure.

This is a great little lunch/brunch spot. I went for a cup of tea with a friend and whilst I didn’t eat anything, the food looked creative and outstanding. Next time I’m in the area for lunch I’m skipping pizza east and coming here for a soup/sandwich!

The North end of Portobello Road used to be forgotten and negleted, merely attracting local trade from those in the know it has now been fully integrated into the steady stream of tourists walking up and down the market. Bluebells is a relatively new addition, immediately across from Lowry & Baker. And I must admit that I probably wouldn’t have tried it if the latter wasn’t still closed for a well deserved winter break. And I would probably have enjoyed Bluebells more without making direct comparisons. Where L&B is intimate and cosy, Bluebells is rather spacious and cold(I sat by the door which stood ajar more than it was shut on the year’s coldest day so far). In both you order your food at the counter which is then brought over to you. But while the girls across the road trust you to pay before you leave, you pay upfront at Bluebells. I tried some mushrooms on toast, which at £5 a go could probably have benefited from a bit of a salad garnish. You can never have too many cafes and the area can carry a few more. Bluebells is a decent enough addition but no competition for my all-time favourite across the road.
