I booked a table at Bluebird for dinner through OpenTable because of my love for Made in Chelsea having seen it so many times on the show. It was perfect. It’s huuuuge! There’s a café section, a huge outdoor bar area and a massive restaurant with another circular bar which you can sit at. All the staff were so friendly, sweet and attentive, I felt happy and relaxed the whole evening. We got a fantastic deal of 2 courses with a glass of wine for £20 from the set menu. The food really surprised me it was excellent! I had a pea risotto which was a huge portion and really cheesy and tasty! For pudding, as I have a nut allergy and was a little limited I was able to choose from the a la carte menu for no extra charge. I had a wonderful Chelsea evening here, it was exactly as I had hoped =] Will be coming back here fo sho!

So Chelsea is close by and we haven’t explored the area much and decided to head here for dinner and drinks. We were totally undecided on the venue and just decided to walk down King’s Road and pick. We both were drawn to walk into Bluebird Chelsea. The café is cosy and quiet. I am sure it makes for a beautiful summer evening out. I will go back here just for the prawns with chili miso glaze… magic…pure magic. For mains I had the southern fried chicken and the husband had mussels. Both were really good! I couldn’t finish my chicken though. There was some good red wine to go with it. I know white would be a better pairing with our food choice. but it was a cold evening… and we both prefer red. Staff is nice, service is quick. Ambiance as I said is good. Best to finish an early meal here and head to the Bluebird Chelsea Bar upstairs.

Over-priced and over-rated. 8 pounds for a cold plain plate of tortilla chips with a teeny weeny bowl of ‘avocado mash’. The avocado dip lasted possibly a couple of bites but that was it. we were left with the stale cold chips and nothing to dip them in. My main was a cold quinoa broccoli salad in a small bowl, I found it bland lacking flavor and freshness, I finished only because I was hungry. The service was close to non existing. Had to wait too long to even order and the server came back to double check parts of our order(paper and pen someone please?) I ordered sparkling water and was only given a small glass of flat sparkling water. Never asked for refill or asked if we were enjoying our dish or if my husband would have liked some salt, pepper, cheese etc with his pasta dish. We had to wait and chase down the server for our bill. 40 pounds lighter and totally unimpressed, we will not be going back which is a shame since we live around the corner.

My husband made a reservation at Bluebird restaurant October 8th when we were visiting London. After long days of sightseeing and quick, casual dining, Bluebird was the perfect fancy retreat. We arrived in Chelsea early and came in to enjoy funky, floral cocktails at the bar. The high ceilings, eclectic furniture, and lavish flower arrangements were a sight to behold. We were seated promptly when we requested and ordered from the set menu. Everything was perfectly prepared, artfully served, and scrumptious. The food was fresh and seasonal, but not memorable. However, the service, and atmosphere was beyond comparison. I felt like we’d discovered a place where the discriminating Londoners congregate. I’d love to return and re-live that romantic evening.

An elegant, upscale brunch place which is literally the spitting image of what I’d create like if I had the money, skill, and any kind of talent or eye for design. The art deco, white building set back against the King’s Road of Chelsea is a beautiful dining experience. It’s definitely where you would take your fiancé’s parents or a long courted girlfriend. It makes for a ‘dress-up’ fancy brunch out with the girls to eat up not only the the Anglo-French menu but the airy, splendidly grand structure of the interior. Menu items are typical of brunch, with eggs served up in fancy ways and the lunch menu appeared to be fairly standard as well. What you wouldn’t expect is all the little extras of the café, such as wine cellar boasting 750 bottles of vino and the adorable shop where you can buy your favorites to take home with you. The cocktail list here is actually impressively long — perfect for a boozy afternoon. There is an outdoor courtyard and the afternoon tea area as well. Amid stunning presentation of the food, the thing that didn’t make me fall instantly in love with it, is that the food seemed to be missing some of the finesse I would expect of an established brunch haven of Bluebird’s fame. The side salads were not quite there, small and with the dressing being thin and meek. The eggs royale were fine, of course, but nothing to take them over the edge of everyday eggs royale anywhere. I had similar comments from the other guests are our table in regards to the salmon as well. I will definitely be returning, but perhaps for cocktails or afternoon tea(or both).

Could very well be the most overrated restaurant in London. Greasy mediocre food that harkens back to the bad old days before London’s restaurant enlightenment. If you were a fan of the kidney pot pie era of British food, try Bluebird.

I have been here a couple times before and it has never dissapointed. This is always a great place to go, with a big variety on the menu. The cheeseburger is always safe, in fact it’s incredible, you must try it. Apart from being quite tricky to get a table if you come for a late lunch it is usually quite easy to get a table for two or four people for a brunch. Brunch is certainly my favourite time to come anyway. A very cool outdoor area with decent service but a great location being in central Chelsea. It is a very fashionable place to eat so I would definitely suggest making the trip there with a small group just to check it out. They make a very good Bloody Mary.

You’re going here because there is a game on and Bluebird has a great outdoor space for viewing. That’s about it, food satisfies but be prepared to wait. You’re waiting for awhile and after waiting for a long time the food will taste better than it really is. Is it mind blowing? Nope, but again the game is on, you’re hungry and you are outside. Also, you will smell like smoke from the BBQ put outside afterwords.

Utterly exasperated at how terrible the service is in here… Brusque, uninterested, slow, condescending. Really, it is that awful. What makes things even worse is that the food isn’t even good in order to redeem things. So to summarise: bland, rude, overpriced. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

I had the burger and it was absolutely delicious! Service is a bit slow, we had to ask to order our food and drink but the food is worth it! We sat in the café outside, but we had a look at the restaurant upstairs and it looked superb! delicious sounding food and amazing cocktails! But very pricey!

I was there for a business dinner in a private dining room. The room was nothing special and didn’t have the same cool vibe as the bar or main dining room. The service was good and the meal was delicious. Perfectly cooked and seasoned beef and excellent chips which could have been challenging with a group of 25 these are the reasons for my 4. I will definitely go back to see how the rest of the place is!

Awesome Bloody Mary’s! We had eggs Benedict which were average and arrived long before our drinks. Service wasn’t the best. This is a trendy spot. You can sit outside in the courtyard, go to the café or to the restaurant inside. I will be back to experience Blue Bird for dinner!

I love the bluebird, yes they invite me to all the fabulous events but that’s not why lol I loveeeee their cocktails… you often end up with drinks that have one single taste… not at the bluebird, the cocktails have multiple layers, dammit the flavours carry you and place you in the clouds with fluffy slippers on. I’d recommend this place for drinks with friends… it’s not cheap but they’re worth it

I lorrrrrrrve the bluebird because they make layered cocktails and when I say layered I ain’t talking onions or your nans dodgy sponge cake… Im talking each sip takes you to a different continent … Smooth, strong and elegant! I had a champagne cocktail the last time I was there. A pear fizz to be precise … It was like drinking a whole pear soaked in champagne baby! It did great things for my mind and mouth. Everyone is professional and the venue is relaxing … Go go go it’s so worth it *flicks hair like models do in l’oreal adverts*

(This review is for the Café at Bluebird) I came here on a late Saturday afternoon and the place was crammed with people. Even though there was a bit of a line to get seated it took under 10 minutes to get a table. The service was a bit slow and my food came out almost 25 minutes after my friends, so luckily we were in no rush. I had a nice salad with butternut squash and goat cheese which was nice and a good size. After we ate we stayed at the table chatting and drinking for quite a while and even though the place was busy we didn’t feel pressured to leave or hurried in anyway. The manager came over at one point and very kindly asked if we would mind moving to another table as he needed ours for a reservation. We happily moved and were pleasantly surprised when the manager sent over a few glasses of free Moët. Nice buzzing atmosphere and beautiful outdoor courtyard. I am eager to go back in the summer when it’s sunny and warm.

I echo other reviewers’ comments in the quality of the food. We had three dishes and all three were bland and nothing that I would pay Bluebird prices for. Service, however, was attentive and the atmosphere was nice. Game terrine — bland. Toast was hard as a rock. Pan roasted plaice — felt like it was more bones than meat on the fish. Spinach was soaked in oil. Flourless chocolate cake — inconsistent as parts were dry and others were moist.

Reading the reviews, I’m not surprised that this place only has 3 stars. I booked for a Sunday lunch with friends, which puts you in the upstairs restaurant that was nearly deserted. The downstairs front garden area is the place to be and attracts a queue, but I don’t think you can book for that. On the other hand, I think Bluebird is one of the better known places on King’s Road, and the décor is very upscale and classy. So the type of brunch you would put on makeup and a nice dress for, not like shorts and flip flops. When we got to the table, a few of our friends were running late so we tried to order mimosas… the waitress didn’t know what a mimosa was, but she suggested the cocktail menu, and before we knew it, we had a long list of champagne cocktails to choose from. I got the Flirtini and it was delicious, and my friend got the Tiffany Rose and said that was great too. They’re not cheap and will cost you more than your meal, but champagne is always fun for brunch. For my main, I got the burger because I had seen it on the blackboard outside the restaurant, and I was very disappointed. There was nothing special about it, and I even felt that it was underseasoned, as the meat had no flavor. I got the polenta chips as a side instead of normal chips, and those were oversalted but at least unique. They also messed up my friends’ eggs benedict and eggs royale orders, as they asked for the sauce on the side and when it came with sauce poured all over it, we had to send it back. Luckily the replacement came within 5 minutes. Overall I’d say the food was a letdown, but the décor and the drinks make this place worth going. And next time I’d love to try the garden area and stick around to peek around the shop and the bakery. The whole place is beautiful, just wish the kitchen could keep up!

Ein Restaurant, das aus drei Teilen besteht: ein Imbiss im Geschäft, ein legeres Restaurant mit Schanigarten und ein highprofile Restaurant im ersten Stock. Insgesamt recht nett. Das Essen ist aber nicht außergewöhnlich.

It was an ok meal and the cost was substantial. I wouldn’t recommend the place, not because of the cost but of the value, I didn’t feel like I was getting that great of food and the atmosphere though nice was riddled with smoking teenagers taking selfies. Just not that upscale of a place. Nice enough for a drink or place to cool your jets for a bit but nothing more.

This review is for the upstairs restaurant only. Honestly, meh. I live close to Bluebird and would always see this place buzzing with lines of fashionable people waiting to get seated. I figured this had to be good and planned to meet a few friends here for dinner. I quickly realized this place is all glitz without much substance behind it. The ambiance is wonderful — we were led to a huge dimly-lit room full of a lot of beautiful people celebrating birthdays, out for a nice dinner, etc. The menu looked appealing enough. While pricey, they had a wide range of selections that were enticing. While I like to get value in my dining experiences, I am always willing to pay a bit more for a great meal, so the price was not necessarily a negative for me. At my group of 4, each and every single one of us were underwhelmed with our meal at every stage(starter, main, and dessert). The food wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great or even good either. Coupled with the hefty price tag that came along with the meal, it just wasn’t really worth it. Even in an expensive city like London, I could have gotten a meal that was tenfold more enjoyable for the price I paid at Bluebird. Additionally, the service was slow an unattentive, which is interesting because we didn’t sit down to dinner until 9:30, so the restaurant was slowing down. I found myself frustrated at the lags in getting our wine glasses refilled, the delay in the bill presentation, etc. If you’re looking for a great meal, I’d say walk past. If you’re looking for a trendy scene for some drinks at the bar, this might be okay. Just be warned you will be paying a lot more for what you’re getting out of it.
