What a great find! I had the pulled pork nachos… surprisingly refreshing and not overloaded of cheese like your typical nachos. The pomegranate seeds were a great touch. A delicious surprise. My better half had the beef brisket wrap and loved it. We would definitely recommend it and the service is great!

Maybe it’s because I have high expectations of a «brewmaster», as I am American… but this was a total let down. My husband and I are big craft brew fanatics and we got really pumped when we walked by a pub called«brewmaster». Their«craft brew» selection is super lame — I think only a handful of options. And their prices were pretty steep compared to other neighborhood pubs. I cannot comment on the food, as we did not eat here. But we were pretty disappointed with the beer selection. Get rid of the brewmaster name, and it’d be a great pub :)

Honestly THEBEST fish and chips I’ve ever laid my taste buds upon! The staff was pretty friendly, and although it’s a pub(which usually doesn’t offer much table service), the fellas upstairs made sure to keep an eye on us to ensure our enjoyment. If it looks packed downstairs… head on up to the dining room and you just may find yourself a seat. As with most pubs in the UK, you order at the bar and pay ahead of time and your food is delivered to your table. They have a favorite of mine(Aspall) on tap, and accommodated my request for a Poor Man’s Black Velvet(a pour of half Guiness, half cider)…a rare find in the UK!

Out the station and into a pub, loving the vibe loving the grub. Great little venue with everything in place, can’t wait to sit down and stuff me face… Well the rhymes out the way, it’s a lovely pub, friendly staff and ale on the quick. Have a visit.

Great pub, the lunch menu has other than just burger and fish and chips. The pulled pork wrap was excellent! The draft beer is a bit dull but there are crafts on bottle.

A trip to London won’t be complete without visiting a pub at least once. going back to Leicester Square for dinner it was the one we saw and tried. I’m not sure if it’s the standard in the U.K. that you order and pay at the bar because in the U.S. majority of the time a server will come to you. So I ordered a bacon cheesburger to no surprise came with chips(fries to us Americans) and of course a pint of beer. I thought the burger was o.k. nothing really extra-ordinary, could use a little more seasoning. Good thing it had bacon to give it some flavor. The chips like the others I’ve tried in London is not really seasoned. Overall I think its a good pub to visit when in London especially in the Leicester Square area.

The quintessential British pub charm oozing from the façade of this establishment, along with the prototypical Fish And Chips listed on the menu, left no doubt in my mind I wanted to eat here. The downstairs bar area was very lively and crowded, with no tables or stools available. Thankfully, there is an eating area upstairs, calmer, less noisy, with a smaller bar and more tables and booths. In the British pub fashion, the orders must be placed and paid for at the bar, and the food is delivered to the table. The fish and chips arrived very quickly, and looked stunning — my only complaint was not enough mushy peas, to which the server responded quickly by delivering another ramekin of this goodness. The cod was perfectly battered and fried, moist, delicious — everything I hoped for. The chips, lightly dressed with malt vinegar, were an impeccable pairing; and the mushy peas were the«cherry on top». All enjoyed with a cold ale made for an unforgettable supper in the heart of London, before I jetted back home early the following morning.

I stumbled upon this charming pub yesterday while shopping on my last day here in London. It’s centrally located near Leicester square tub stop. These is a upstairs area as well with bar to pay for since most pubs only have bar downstairs. I ordered Indian spice salmon and bottle of Spanish Red wine. Salmon was cooked to perfection and I didn’t expected it. Overall great pub if you are visiting hearth of London. From service to location to food quality everything was perfect.

I have now found myself at the Brewmaster several times, so I figure it’s time for a review. Conveniently located practically on top of the Leicester Square tube stop, the Brewmaster is a good place to stop for a pint or two, and I’ve found their food to be quite nice as well. It’s a little on the pricey side, but that’s to be expected for the location. The staff can be a bit grumpy at times, but it’s not kept me from coming back.

Not really a pub as it has too much light and quite an unfriendly atmosphere. Didn’t really like it there, good thing we only stayed for one drink.

I like this pub, its a stones throw away from the tube station. And usually the first pub we go in when we are in London. Its got new décor inside since the last time i was there, looks very fresh. Food is served here and is the usual pub food, and is very nice, large portions i think as well. There is a upstairs area as well you can eat in either, also both have a bar, the toilets are halfway up the stairs, and a lot nicer than before the refurbishment. overall a good London pub with good food.

Went to the Brewmaster on 25th October 2010 to have a pre-theatre drink. Asked for a glass of Chardonnay and the girl started to pour a glass of Semillion Chardonnay. When I pointed out that it was not a Chardonnay she kept saying that it was. I told her several times that it was a mixture and I had asked for a glass of Chardonnay. Eventually produced a bottle that had half a gass and said they did not have anymore. Then said I would have a glass of red and she replied«Which one before I start pouring» REALLYBADATTITUDE!!! Would have walked out but had meet up with people that already had a drink. Would not go back. Staff need to learn their trade and be taught manners.

For such a central pub, I’m surprised no one has reviewed it yet! The Brewmaster, at first glance it sounds like a place for frat guys fresh off the plane in London. Once you step in, it is anything but. The ground floor is full of space, great to pop in for a quick pint after work. That is, if you get there early enough it does get quite packed. Upstairs is large as well, housing plenty of space to stand by the bar, but if you want a comfy haven for an evening, definitely snag one of the big puffy couches or dark wooded inclusive booths. The atmosphere is relaxed, great to take advantage of the simple menu and a pint of ale. Another great thing about this pub, is that the restrooms, are off to the side entrance, halfway up the stairs to the second floor. Newly remodeled and kept clean, if you are in need to be relieved, you can pop in quick without bothering anyone. I can’t five star the pub because although the couches are spacious, they are a little worn out. It also is extremely busy in the evenings, so if you don’t have a problem standing it’s a great place to be. It might not be a local haunt, but every now and then, before or after one of the many theatre productions, it’s worth stopping by.

Me and my partner went into The Brewmaster in Leicester Square on a resent visit to London. It was getting late so saw this place and decided to go for a meal. A big disappointment i ordered the beef and mushroom casserole cooked in red wine, and my partner ordered the macaroni cheese with jacket potato and side salad. When this came to the table the casserole consisted of two lumps of beef a sliced mushroom cooked in red wine sauce, mashed potato and peas(not what i would call a casserole). My partners macaroni cheese looked more like a pizza than macaroni cheese(cooked in a low sided round tin or should i say burnt in a low sided round tin) the jacket potato was served with no butter. The only good thing i could see on her plate was the small piece of salad. The food was served very quickly and was piping hot when served to the uncleaned table. The pub itself i would recommend not for dinning but if going in purely for a drink as the atmosphere is great.

£4.30 for flat pint of Nastro, so next round I ordered a stella, same price same result. The food was on average £9 something for each dish, three out of four plates were taken back pretty much with the same quantity of food on them as when the barman delivered them to the table. Mediocre quality food cooked extremely badly. Steer clear… great location its just such a shame no care goes into the one thing that makes someone want to go back for more.

The Brewmaster is not a particularly different place not flashy, not too expensive(in my experience as a Northerner dahn sarf) nor with an atmosphere that could be described as anything other than mediocre. However, on our trips to That London, we always manage to call in here. It might have something to do with one particular day back in 2005 when Sheffield United earned a replay against Arsenal at the old Highbury. A very boozy day culminated in the Brewmaster where a stag party of Spurs fans adopted us as their Northern cousins and treated us to drinks all night. So here is a tip to all the London landlords. All you need to do to attract Northerners to your pubs is give them an evening of free drinks. It will live long in the memory and guarantee you custom for years to come. Now where’s them stairs I need the loo hic
