Fantastic breakfast. Our server, Gas, was exceptional. American coffee piping hot, fresh. Bacon and sausage was excellent. We’ll be back!

Good food, but a bit expensive for what it is. I used to come here reasonable regularly about 2 or 3 years ago, and I still go in sometimes. They close early and have a habit of coming round asking if you want another drink shortly before closing time. Straight after this they start putting the chairs up on the tables, which makes you feel awkward. On one occasion when this happened I asked a member of staff when they were closing, and he said«now». I quickly finished the drink I’d just been invited to order and left. I checked the advertised closing time on the door as I left and it was still 15 or 20 mins before closing time. I found this quite rude.

I used to live opposite here in Gunterstone Road, and the hardest part about moving from West ken was leaving all those Saturday brunches behind. I’ve always enjoyed all the fry-ups/eggs benedicts/smoothies and so on here, and wish I’d had the time to try the french toast too! The staff are really nice(or were when I last went there a year or so ago) too. Café Continente has no real rival in the surrounding area, so just make sure you get there early to secure a table!

Great breakfast close to the underground station & good prices. The owner or manager wasn’t too friendly with his staff or welcoming. Our waiter was really good & we ordered the transitional English breakfast.

Fantastic staff, a solid menu and great baked goods. The atmosphere is wonderful for sitting and enjoying your meal or a chat with a friend. It’s a regular haunt for my sister and I and we often take friends for brunch on the weekend. I recommend the omelettes and the milkshakes! The price is reasonable but not cheap. Very surprised to see it marked as expensive on Unilocal though.

Café Continente is a restaurant and all day breakfast place with 4 star potential but currently settling on 3 stars. Housed within a pleasant airy space and fronted by an inviting green façade, amid Victorian terraces, Café Continente offers a familiar range of all day breakfasts and other mains. I was here for brunch, so plumped for an English breakfast and a milkshake. My girlfriend opted for Eggs Benedict and a smoothie. The service was confused and rather less flexible than I would have liked. I asked if I could have two slices of French toast with my breakfast rather than the four slices a standalone French toast serving came with. Not possible, which given how accommodating many brunch places are becoming(Balans in particular), annoyed me. My breakfast was pretty average, with the sausage noticeably lower quality than the competition in this price range(£7). Not too bad, but not great. The milkshake was also average, with little flavour making up for the lack of ice cream. My girlfriend’s Eggs Benedict however was considerably better. The atmosphere is pretty chilled out, with a world music(think Enigma) soundtrack. We stayed for a while after finishing — despite its occasional culinary imperfections this is one of the more welcoming places in the area. Overall — the atmosphere and some of the food(Eggs Benedict in particular) hint towards a possible 4 star world for Café Continente. For now though, it’s 3 stars — A-OK.

We had breakfast here during our stay in West Kensington and enjoyed it very much. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious and fresh! I was very glad to find out there’s Vegetarian English Breakfast in this place. It was very tasteful. We will come back here for sure!

Superb, lovely people, friendly atmosphere, great food, good sized portions, good value too! Eaten there a few times now, most are homecooked, the roast beef was especially lovely and so are the omelettes. Also recommend the shakes and smoothies!

OY $$$$ seriously when I did the conversion it was about 17 bucks for a large coffee and a bagel with bacon. It wasn’t crowded when I went but seemed to have regulars.

No nonsense, cheap breakfast and the occasional good chorizo soup. A mainstay for us locals. Busy, yet relaxed.

This place was heaving on a Sunday morning when I walked in for breakfast. The staff were very friendly though, and after a short walk around the neighbourhood, we were able to be seated. They get bonus points for TRYING to make an American style brunch, complete with french toast, but the execution was a bit lacking. Still, the eggs benedict were pretty respectable, the orange juice was fresh squeezed, and the coffee was good. It’s a really good value for money too, and the place seems to draw a good mix of residents from the area. I’d go back, but probably not for the french toast.

Especially for an good English breakfast. The atmosphere is friendly, warm, and inviting and the perfect place to relax with a coffee, breakfast, or lunch. Good menu with a range of things to suit everyone. The food tastes great and is always fresh with reasonable prices. Polite and good service. Recommended.
