Tourist trap! Would never ever go there again and even would never wish my worst enemy to spend any second in here. The service is horrible(tips included in bill — so staff does not care at all) and the cakes are old, low quality and overpriced. I have sent a written complaint about an incident and never received a reply — even after resending the email a few times. They don’t care at all.

It’s a good place overall and I enjoyed it. What it lacked is personality. I could not feel of it should be cozy, hip, classy… etc or what. Had small bites and a desert. The quality of the food is average and could not find anything wrong in it. Location is amazing, 1 minute walk from Piccadilly Circus. Competition is tough as they are surro see by competing cafes.

Terrible services. Went for breakfast this New Year’s Day hoping for a decent breakfast. Ordered food straight away, but nothing came through after half an hour. When asking the waiter to chase the food, I wasn’t told that my order was not recorded. One of the waitress also apparently ignored when I signed to request her attention. When we escalated to notice the manager, she barely says her waitress forgot to put our order in the system. No decent apology, nor does she realise the dreadful quality of the services. Really disappointed– the quality of dessert is not enough to compensate the awful service and catering management.

We came in for breakfast, and were happily surprised to find a special-price menu for selected dishes: full English, scrambled eggs with salmon, omelette, eggs benedict, granola… a nice selection! The food was pretty good, too, so great value for money. The only thing that was a bit of a let-down was the service: the waiters were nice enough, but forgot parts of our order, and took a looong time to respond to simple requests.

Good looking place. Food was average, still quite expensive. Service was terrible… slow, unfriendly and tips included so they probably don’t care…

We had a delightful lunch before venturing down Jermyn street. The salads and spaghetti bolognese were very good. The interior was very attractive and staff very attentive. We would return for another meal.

The best food I’ve experienced in London. I’ve been here twice already and have not been disappointed yet! For dinner, I had the Spaghetti alla Carbonara. Amazing! Rich and creamy with notes of basil and hearty pancetta. Exceeded my expectations by tenfold. On a separate visit, for lunch, I shared the«Hot Bites» appetizer. It is definitely enough for two for lunch, and was to die for! You could taste the garlic and olive oil in the cheesy garlic bread, the tomatoes on the bruschetta were fresh and savory, the shrimp and calamari bites were amazing, and even the mozzarella sticks(of which I am normally not a fan) were perfect when dipped in the spicy sweet & sour sauce(a sauce that went well with almost everything else on the plate). We were definitely happy! Service is a little slow, but the restaurant seems to always be busy. The waiters are nice and the atmosphere is classy café chic. I just wish I had enough time here in London to try more of the menu!

Really good breakfast and the waitress who served us, was ok. My only concern about this place is the staff interaction with each other, I went with my wife for a calm breakfast but the staffs were nearly killing each other, very disturbing moment when the Italian lady kept on saying ‘shut up’ towards the poor little man who was only asking for respect and to be let to do his job, and the waitress who was serving us was paying more attention to her colleagues argument than to the customers, I am not sure what kinda of training and benefits they offer to staffs, but for what I have seen, not much. Even when the manager showed up, they did not stop arguing, that manager do not show or do not give enough respect. Maybe that’s why staffs kept arguing even with his presence. Anyway, the lady from the was being extremely disrespectful towards the waiter called ‘Carlo’ and it was not nice for us and the other customers to see that.

Dreary coffee-come-tea house that excels in nothing. Slow service average food and the kind of ambience that makes you wonder if the owner understands what year we are in. The one redeeming feature is a nice sign on the door that says: Exit… Ah… now that’s a good idea.

The service was good, food was a edible but rather average; very chewy/over-cooked Chicken Milanese. The salad was nice and fresh though. A little over-priced for the quality but then again it is in tourist central.

Had a cupa afternoon tea and then had dinner with my girl friend. The service is kinda slow. I guess they might need to hire more waiters or waitresses. It always takes more time than it should when you need services around. The food is good enough for me. We ordered a duck salad and each had one chicken breast. The chicken breast is good. It’s crowded with customers I have to say. Don’t really know why it is so popular.

Strange place. Tries to look glitzy from outside, but is really rather low quality. Had a pasta dish which I could have done better myself. Expensive too. Pretty obvious it’s a very bad tourist trap. Service is dreadful. The staff have the demeanour of people serving a hard labour sentence. Avoid.

The only reason we came here for lunch on April 11, 2012 was that we had ended the first round of the Big Bus tours of London. Not wanting to wander too far, we ended up here. We asked to be seated outside since it was warm, bright and cheery. Once seated, we waited till I had to hail a waiter who was on smoke break. He went in and sent a young lady to wait on us. Apparently, no one seemed to wait on the outside tables. We ordered a pasta dish for my wife and a grilled salmon entrée for myself. The entrees were warm but tasted good enough to sate our hunger. We had to make an effort to get our check, pay and leave. The pace was extremely slow for our liking. We walked back to the bus stop and commenced the second round of our London city tour. I wish for the cost of the lunch, the food and service had lived up to the mark. One of the hazards of being a tourist on a schedule.

Try the Cortina white chocolate cake. It’s really the only cake I can recommend in London.

Wandered in because it looked so inviting and we were starving. Had gotten slightly lost trying to find another place we were planning to visit and settled with here. Unfortunately, this was kind of a poor choice. The food was perfectly fine but most of the service(with the exception of the attentive and friendly waitress at the end) was poor and slow. The prices were insane compared to everything else we ate the entire trip. Granted, it’s right in the center of Piccadilly but so was the other café we were looking for(and this one had low prices and rave reviews). Would definitely not come back.

Located in the heart of tourist-infested Piccadilly Circus, I suppose I should have gone into Caffe Concerto with slightly lower expectations than I had, but expectations aside Concerto really did let me down. Primarily, the service at Caffe Concerto really is quite poor. I sat down with a small group of friends and was given a dirty look when one of the four of us mentioned that he would just have water. Yes, I understand that this can be a source of frustration to a server, but the other three of us were fully ready to order large amounts of desserts. When our food finally arrived, it was very clear that there had been some mistakes made in terms of the flavour of ice cream, and it even looked as though the waiter was very much aware of this when he placed the food down but just hoped we wouldn’t say anything, which we didn’t. Finally, at the end of the day we each ended up paying around 10 pounds for a very basic piece of cake and a scoop of ice cream(3.50 pounds for a scoop!?). This was especially disappointing. Clearly we weren’t paying for luxurious or particularly attentive service, so it was frustrating to know that we’d paid so much for a scoop of ice cream that would cost about a pound anywhere else and a piece of cake that should have been no more than 3 pounds. In terms of desserts and service, look elsewhere, and in fact, abandon Piccadilly Circus as a whole when it comes to dining.
