Another chain of coffee spots. I think that the cakes and shakes make this café different than Starbucks and others, but I’m not convinced about how great they are. I’ve had a coffee, a chai latte and a slice of red velvet cake so far and all were ok. Ok enough, but not anything I’ll run back to.

Had a brie, bacon and caramelised onion panini here today. Have definitely had better. Think Caffe Nero really needs to up its game in terms of it’s panini quality.

Currently sitting in Caffe Nero, having enjoyed a strawberry and raspberry fruit booster(their name for fruit juice blitzed with ice) and a caramel shortcake which I’m convinced is the best rendition of millionaires shortbread in any of the coffee chains. I’m not a coffee drinker but I think they do the best hot chocolate and it’s fun to look at the photographs printed on cloth hanging from the walls, usually of a balding Italian man haranguing someone from his car, or playing poker. This Nero is large, with an upstairs area with plug sockets to charge your laptop while you work, great for me to spend a few hours studying! And the staff are friendly too! If only they had free wifi I could live here.

This is my local Caffe Nero. It’s conveniently located next to the Fulham Library and is generally not too crowded. The baristas are super friendly and the food/drinks are what you’ve come to expect from your local friendly corporate headed coffee shop. Overall a great place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee.
