I haven’t had a tattoo here, so I don’t know how well they do tattoos. I’ve been inside countless tattoo shops and I must say the attitude of the staff here sucks big time. I walked in and the surly teenager behind the counter didn’t ask if he could help or even look remotely interested. He just waited for me to come to him. I showed him the photo I wanted turned into a portrait. The artist appeared from the back room then and the reception guy asked him. The artist(in the process of tying up his shorts — don’t ask) gave the photo a cursory glance and quoted a price clearly out of the blue. As I say, I haven’t been tattooed here, so maybe they are amazing. But I’m not willing to chance it on an artist who seemingly takes no interest in what he is tattooing. Sorry guys but if you want business, I suggest you put a little effort into your customer service.

Don’t be afraid at going down the stairs which leads to this studio! It’s a good place! Clean and healthy. The personnel is available and teacher. Advices on the choice and on aftercare are perfect. I made eyebrown piercing. All instruments were disinfected and under blister — no worry. Cheap place(25£/30EUR… 50EUR on Bordeaux for the same performance) to be recommended N’ayez pas peur de descendre l’escalier qui mèné à ce studio !

Right, if I wanted a tattoo — and I have none, not that I’d be too against it — I wouldn’t get one done here. Why? Well, I’ll tell you. I don’t think this is the right context to have a tattoo done. In the crawlingly pre-designed alternative milieu that is Camden. A tattoo here just gives me images of all them 16 year-olds who hang round in groups at weekends, how the unspoken peer-pressure makes them plump for a weird tattoo — a spider or a chinese ‘symbol’. And then you got that for life. And every time you think about it, it just takes you back to that stoned, cold Saturday morning when you went for it, with your mates, at Camden Piercing Studio & Tattoos. And I’m not knocking them groups of youths, I’m just saying ‘think about it’. But having said all that, I haven’t ever had a tattoo here. So I’m not really in a place to comment. Maybe ignore all this…
