I can’t recommend these guys highly enough. I got two tattoos with them last year in August, and my sister got one at the same time as well. She was pretty freaked out but they were really great with her, calming her down and talking her through the whole procedure. The place is super clean, the staff are fantastic. Some of the girls have the most amazing tattoos I’ve ever seen. You can’t just walk in off the street, you have to make an appointment. I thought they were pretty reasonably priced. And they are really great artists. Overall, a great tattoo studio, cool artwork, awesome artists, good prices, And most of all clean.

I found out about this place before I traveled to London. I sent them an email and inquired about their rates and told them i would be there in the next month and needed an appointment. the staff was great and the tattoo artist was very patient and relaxed. I had some hesitations but he made sure I was ok throughout. Overall a great experience!

During my travels, I will often acquire a permanent souvenir — a tattoo. I was in London in 2007(this is a very delayed review!) with a friend of mine and we were walking the streets of Camden Town and both decided it’d be a great idea to «mark» the occasion. After doing a bit of research and speaking with the locals, they referred us to Evil From the Needle; Camden’s oldest tattoo shop. We walked right into the shop and spoke with the receptionist who was able to make an appointment for both of us on the same day at the same time with two different artists. We provided her with an idea of what we were looking to have done and we were on our way. I noticed the great atmosphere and cleanliness of the shop. When we arrived the next day for our appointment, I was set up with Hanae(spelling) a cute and friendly little Asian girl who was just wonderful to work with. She was clean and very gentle with the needle and made great conversation as well. Out of all of the ink that I have, the one that people often comment on is the one that I got from Evil From the Needle. A job well done, especially considering I’ll have it on my body for the rest of my life!

I’m a little delayed on the review, but in August 2011, I went on vacation in London. There was a wrist tattoo that I had been wanting to get for a little over a year but was waiting for the perfect time/opportunity so I figured that a trip overseas would be the perfect time to mark the occasion. Before I left, I had done some research on the internet and came across some really good reviews for this place — but since were were going to be in London proper, I wasn’t sure if I’d get the chance to get to Camden at all. Luckily, we went to visit the Camden Lock Market and decided to check out some of the tattoo places in the area. We wound up at a piercing studio and I asked the guy what tattoo places in the area were reputable and he said«The only place I’d even think about getting a tattoo done in Camden is Evil from the Needle — it’s the best». Between the reviews I had already read and this guys suggestion, I decided to give it a go. The woman at the front desk was very knowledgeable and seemed to know quite a bit about the tattoo process — which was nice since a lot of receptionists in the US don’t really seem to know all that much about it. She said that it would take about 30 minutes and quoted me £60(which was equivalent to around $ 100US). While they didn’t have any time that day(it was later in the day) she said I could try back another day and they could probably fit me in. The only down side is that they only take appointments by phone and since I had been having issues with my cell service, I had to take my chances. A couple days later, I went back and apparently it was my lucky day. They took me upstairs practically as soon as I got there. Mark Ford was the guy that tattooed me and he did a really amazing job. There was some intricate work that needed to be done and he made it look exactly like the sketch I had given him. All the needles, supplies and work stations were very clean and well maintained. If you’re in the area and looking for a reputable place to get a tattoo, definitely stop by Evil from the Needle.

I am not going to post a picture because that would involve lifting my shirt. While that will probably get me 2943820 compliments on Unilocal(:P JK), I’m going to give a good to honest review of Evil From The Needle. The name alone should tell you how great this place is — one of Camden’s oldest and longest running tattoo parlours, Evil From The Needle is a great place that works patiently with you. They outline all the FAQ’s on their website, which is beyond helpful. When I arrived to ask about my tattoo, I did not feel looked down upon(and I get that a lot, being an innocent looking, underaged Asian girl) or judged. There wasn’t a hint of snobbery or fear in the air. I didn’t feel stupid or unsafe. So I made my appointment with an awesome Asian girl, covered in very stylish tattoos and then prepared myself. My tattoo was 80 pounds for something that was about four inches(four words) in length, which considering the reputation of the parlor and the size, the price wasn’t too bad at all. I’ve only been to two floors. The entrance and the tattoo room which I shared with two other guys. I had to lift my shirt up, but it wasn’t uncomfortable because there’s a big pillar in the middle that basically blocks everyones view of each other. The place was very clean, very modern with variety, just a nice place to be in. It didn’t feel like they only excelled in a specific style of tattoos. I worked with Lindsey. She’s a very nice tattoo artist, who patiently listened to my request about placing my text and asked multiple times if the placement was okay. She didn’t rush me or make me feel uncomfortable. Let’s just say I was glad to have her. I got some text in a typewriter font on my ribs. It should’ve hurt like hell, which it did at first, but afterwards Lindsey were perfectly gentle. Let’s just say… I fell asleep(then again I could be just abnormal). Afterwards, she asked if I had any questions, which I didn’t since it was my first time, and left feeling completely high and ecstatic off the pain… :) If you’re looking to get some ink work done, and looking to pay a reasonable London price for a good quality job, I’d say come to Evil From the Needle. I just love the way they treat their customers(after getting a bad experience elsewhere).
