Excellent karaōke night, with very large portions of nibbles, good selection of songs(although it seems that it’s mostly english or chinese as language choices. Unsurprising). Oh, and the pitchers of drinks were delicious and deceptively easy to drink dum de dum

Cella is my favourite karaōke bar in the whole of London, right from the time that it was located nearer Euston Station. What I love about Cella is that you can have a private karaōke room for you and your friends, and you are not charged by the hour. You pay a cover charge for food and drink, based on the size of the room and then just have to eat/drink the right amount. I found that the minimum time slot available is 4 hours, which is a really good amount of time for karaōke. The food is basic Asian snack foods — noodles, rice, chicken wings etc(most things are deep-fried. How can it not be good??). There is a good range of drinks, including nonalcoholic cocktails. One thing to note is that only food ordered within the room(i.e. calling for room service) counts towards the tab; food and drink ordered at the bar doesn’t count apparently(I didn’t test it out). We had one of the rooms near the bar with the windows that let people see in. My preference is to get one of the more private rooms at the back, but that’s a personal preference. I also prefer the range of songs available at Cella compared to other karaōke bars — they have English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Malay songs. They also use the original music video most of the time(and really badly made and difficult to interpret videos the rest of the time, which just add to the amusement). It’s also worth getting the right sized room for the number of guests(so make sure you know how many people are coming in advance!). We had a slightly bigger room than previously and so the cost was slightly higher per person than normal. I love coming to Cella and come at least once a year for special occasions!

I don’t have a lot to compare this to as it was the first real Karaōke bar I’ve been to. The drinks were reasonably priced(£80 for a bottle of Vodka and £3−4 for a beer) but the food wasn’t. It was about £7−8 per small dish and it wasn’t all that good.

Cella is a bar cum karaōke club. It is conveniently located in central London and the place is good for parties and karaōke sessions. I have been there twice both birthday parties. We booked the VIP rooms and have a group of friends drinking, eating and singing! It’s a quite a laugh! The atmosphere is good for a karaōke place. Interior deco is done up reasonable well not superb but acceptable. The food is alright and mostly oriental; not quite authentic but good enough! Overall, it’s a good place for group outings and a create place to interact with friends!
