Grabbed pastries for snacking later Food: taiyaki: crispy. yummy filling! one of the time ive had these since japan. tastes great hot. char siu bao(roast pork bun): good filling but needs more of it curry chicken bun: skip it. had curry leaves still in(never happened before) and mostly potato filled coconut bun: just ok. wouldn’t again service: cashiers were friendly. taiyaki guy was a bit unresponsive to my order. maybe tired. Bottom Line: not fantastic, but would stop to try more pastries(except curry-filled ones).

Leckeres chinesisches Gebäck in Chinatown.

My favorite bakery for Chinese classic bakery items in london. Located in the heart of chinatown, its easy to find this place. The quality is fresh and great, taste is on point, chearp, and they have those mini fish shape cakes that were good to. They have just about every typical chinese bakery item you can usually find in a chinese bakery. Great Chinese bakery, def will be back and recommend.

Whenever I walk past this place I just can’t stop myself but to pause for a while and stare at their window where they make tiny cute fish waffles/Taiyaki. The sweet smell of waffles tingles your nose and senses every time you pass by. I finally gave in and tried some. It tasted as good as it smelt. Especially when it’s hot and freshly made. The birthday cakes are yummy and they have a wide range of choices and the price ranges depending on size, flavours and presentation. They also sell many Chinese buns with fillings. One of my favourites is the pork floss bun. The golden, soft, fluffy pork floss bun is covered with pork floss and sesame seeds on the side. As you bite into it you can taste the mayonnaise too. It’s packed full of flavours although I would imagine it to be calorific as its quite oily. But it’s definitely worth trying and you might even get hooked on it. It is also featured on the Timeout magazine.
