Late review but had a wonderful meal in the summer when residency was taken up by Som Saa the Thai pop up. It was really very good and I will be keeping tabs on them when they hopefully go permanent. In terms of the layout of Climpsons Arch is is quite hidden away behind London Fields but makes up for it with a cool outdoor bit(they actually do all their cooking out there under cover). The first time I went there was Burger Monday battle off and in the summer it is fantastic. Beers and burgers flowing under the sun. Perfect! They’ve always been very friendly whenever I’ve popped by. One time they even invited me to hang inside as it was raining during the chefs lunch break. It’s normally walk in so it can be hit and miss if you get a space but there is a good amount of tables inside.

I’ve been here a few times now. First time was for a Burger Monday semi final. A nice venue which has a great vibe, was amazing as it was really sunny and everyone was outside. However, the bar did get very busy and a queue stayed throughout the night. The second visit which was more recent was to visit the Som Saa residency. Completely different layout with table service. Amazing looking menu which was mirrored when the dishes came out. A must try is the crispy sea bass, it is served as a whole fish, so make sure you like to get your hands dirty trying to get it off the bone. The best dish of the night was actually a drinks ‘bite’. Fermented pork dish which I could’ve eaten all night. One dish which was ok but maybe avoid so you can try others is the onglet. Service was friendly but it did take a while to get the bill.(Visit — 14/05/2015 Dinner)

Called in on Sunday for food, they have a thai pop up running at the moment. Delicious food, not unreasonably priced either! Nice atmosphere, outside seating and an inside area, was nice and quiet, but atmospheric too. Downside — limited menu, not a lot on it. Would recommend and would come again.
