Egg-cellent breakfast. I had the vegetable hash, a fry up of sweet potato, squash, peppers, tomato and more topped with poached eggs. The eggs were poached to perfection and the hash, while simple, was delicious. The rest of the menu sounds yummy with everything from American style pancakes to huevos rancheros to plenty of veg options. They’ve also got an interesting cocktail list. The staff is friendly and the music is on point. Nice neighborhood vibe with tiki décor.

Ordered avocado toast with pouched egg and bacon. it was okay… but pouched egg was totally over cooked. There was no egg york that I expected. avocado and bread were alright but bacon was bit cold… maybe give a try other menu next time. The atmosphere was great tho!

I came here on a Sunday evening for a burger and a few drinks. It was awesome. The burger was really tasty. The venue is bright and airy and the rum and banana smoothie was the greatest thing ever. Though I went for a strawberry smoothie cocktail afterwards and that was a bit rough. Still came with an almost double serving of rum for £6.50 though. Result. There was a DJ playing and I’ve been here in the past where they’ve had a live jazz band. Broadway market is worth visiting in itself and so far this is my favourite place there to grab a burger.

AMAZING British food, we came here for Brunch. Every sauce/dressing here is out of this world, and so affordable too(10GBP for brunch)! Lots of hipster beards everywhere. Getting a seat is a bit like being a vulture, but tables seem to become available quickly. Staff are friendly and brisk.

Had a lovely soup, with a nice side salad and a slice of delicious bread. Just enough to have a health and more than satisfying lunch. I love the atmosphere at this spot and I didn’t felt rushed at all. You have to order at the bar and there is free wifi. You can pay immediately or when you leave. Very flexible.

Had lunch here today with friends and our babies — v accommodating of prams, lots of space! Ambience chilled out and v welcoming. Had chorizo and bean salad with poached egg on sourdough toast, was delicious but a very small portion for £7.50. Have previously had cocktails here and they are fabulous! Has some outdoor seats and is busy at weekends. Would recommend!

How… unexpected! From the outside, Stories is just another Broadway Market pub but inside it’s colourful, modern and very, very cool. Lots of round tables throughout with bench seating encourages you to drop your shopping bags and get comfortable. On a busy Saturday we squeezed in and shared a table, but pretty soon had it all to ourselves. The menu looks fantastic, looks of brunch options and bar food. They even have Sunday roast rolls, which I’d love to try. Sure you’ll be surrounded by east London hipsters but that’s the price we have to pay. My friend had some wine and I had a breakfast juice. I wasn’t expecting much, but it was a fantastically refreshing blend of orange juice, pear and pomegranate. You do have to go up to order at the bar, which is a bit odd, but the table service thing seems to elude them here.

Excellent bar where you can finish your Broadway Market shopping. It offers a good selection of high quality coffee, juice and cocktail drinks. Brunch is also tasty with plenty of vegetarian options. Music is hip, the crowd cool, wireless strong and service friendly. The best spot to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon in East London.

London Fields has seen it’s fair share of pubs and bars with retro, mismatched furniture reclaimed from a school/church hall/80’s living room etc. So, refreshingly, this place isn’t like that at all. In fact, it isn’t like anywhere at all. This furniture looks bespoke and the décor is completely new to me. Geometric painted metal shapes meet light woods and soft fabrics in a mathematicians dream bar. The lights are like geometric seagulls and walls are padded in places where you might like to lean. It’s really lovely and feels very fresh. The floor has patches of mosaic here and there The food is mainly bar food. The only mains being a beef and chorizo burger and a veggie burger. Otherwise it’s little bowls of lamb kebabs, ricotta balls, polenta chips in the shape of parallelograms and the like. They have events here where you can learn crafts such as origami and skirt making so be sure to check out their website if that’s your thing. We’ve been twice on Sundays and once on a Friday and I really like it. We’ve always managed to get a table and the place feels spacious even when busy.
