Pricey for the size of the room Regular breakfast rather light and only served in the room or lobby due to the absence dining room Some rooms not accessible for disabled or elderly clients On the bright side: very good beds and even more important a very helpful and friendly team at reception(thank you again for the tips on Restaurants around)

The Cranley Is a delightful little hotel in South Kensington. The rooms are cozy, The bed was comfortable, and the quarter canopy above the bed is a lovely touch. Upon arrival and check-in, once you are settled in your room, this staff will bring up some complementary glasses of champagne and some lovely little canapes. Every night between 7 and 8, complimentary champagne is available. There was 1 small bit of confusion during the stay — I did not realize that champagne our was from 7 to 8, so I was charged for the champagne when I ordered it at 6. However, the staff was fantastic, and Alex not only took it off our bill, but sent up two additional glasses of champagne! I would highly recommend the Cranley to anyone planning to stay in the South Kensington area.

I got a relatively good deal on this place a few months back, and my husband and I were very happy with it. It’s in a great location – fairly quiet street but you’re still pretty close to a tube stop and some pubs and restaurants. If you’re in the mood for a walk there are good neighborhoods close by for that. The room itself was quite big, especially by European standards. We were in the basement, but we didn’t find that to be much of an issue. The front desk staff were nice and helpful, and the sitting area looked very cozy. Plus it had bathrobes and Q-tips, which automatically puts it in the five-star category for me. Check out the Drayton Arms down the street for a drink.
