Delicious! I got the salmon savoury crêpe and the strawberry nutella sweet crêpe. My crepes were prepared quickly and I only waited about 5 – 10 minutes for both. Seating is limited, but then again it is a small shop in Covent Garden. The crepes are a bit too expensive in my opinion, but the two I ordered were enough to fill me up even though I was starving. Definitely would be coming back here again! Also, there is free wifi(password is on the wall I think), which is nice considering phone reception is not great inside.

Fast, delicious crepes, both sweet and savory kinds. Tiny space in Covent Garden. You order at the counter & they bring the food to you. Pretty good latte, too. Strawberry crêpe was filled with jam not fresh berries, so a bit too sweet. Savory was called the piggy that went to market, and we liked it better

If you want to wait 26 minutes for one crêpe and then have it dropped on the table with sustain then this is the place to go. Oh, you will need to go back into remind them you paid for food that has not arrived after 20 minutes and be told yours is next up, even though there were only two people, and one order, before you. One star was probably too generous!

This place could be great, but it’s just not 4 stars. 3 stars for the food and 1 star for the service. The staff were neither friendly nor helpful. The guy who was taking my order had such poor English he just could not understand what I was saying. «No ranch dressings please» «cherry tomatoes?» «No, ranch dressing» «no cheese?» That is not even remotely close! He didn’t even apologise and the girl behind him end up putting in the order in the computer. He didnt tell me the order number either. The crepes are not French styled(at least Northern France). They were far too thick, spongy, and crispy. The ingredients were fine. Dont really have any complaints about the taste or the amount of food. The coffee is your usual non-espresso-shop quality.

I would have given this place, 5 stars but the first time that my boyfriend and I went… the server was a bit rude. We woke up early and went exactly at the time that they were supposed to be open, in which we waited outside because they didn’t let anyone in. One of the workers left the door open and put the Open sign, so I told my boyfriend«Let’s go in» as soon as we went, another worker was like«It’s not opened» and out the door we went. However, other than that bad experience… the crepes were awesome(cheeky monkey). We went the next day, the crepes didn’t disappoint but I wish places where the food is awesome also had good customer service.

This is an excellent place for a meal or tide-you-over snack. Situated in frenetic Covent Garden, it has indoor seating and a broad assortment of crepes, both breakfast-y and lunch/dinner-y. Everyone seemed to enjoy their order, and you’re just steps away from the hubbub and entertainment in the courtyard. Prices were reasonable, but not what I would call surprisingly cheap.

The crepes are of decent quality, though a bit over-spongy, which makes sense given they use a mass production crêpe machine rather than being hand made. The sweet crêpe I ate was fine. Unfortunately it is not fine enough to be memorable. Service is friendly and can be slow during peak demand. The venue feels a bit more like a basement converted into a café, which is not a compliment. Crowds make the small space even more cramped, particularly in cold weather when nobody wants to sit outside. Fortunately the location is great in touristy, high traffic, Covent Gardens, where there are few other options for crepes or small cheap places to dine.

So… let’s just say, that when I order a crêpe with Nutella, I expect a decent amount of Nutella in it, specially because it is 4 pounds… So that being said, there was barely any Nutella inside of it, the crêpe was fine, but If I wanted a plain crêpe, I would have ordered one. I don’t think I will be back, at least not for the sweet crepes.

o9. o6.14 I wished my first was here! I know this is dessert but I would rather have dessert as my first meal than fish and chip. This place is so cute, just simply cute. And yes, the desserts were tasty too. ;)

Yummmm. This place has really good bang for your buck. I ordered the«Gone Fishin» crêpe which has: hot smoked salmon, spring onions, lemon juice, black pepper mayonnaise and rocket. There was a lot of fresh, flavorful salmon in the crêpe and the flavors went really well together. The total came to 5.85 pounds so it’s a reasonable dinner if you’re in Covent Garden. The place is pretty cute with a tarvern-like feel and cute/chic décor. However, they also have outdoor seating and music playing outside which is really nice on a hot day. The only thing is, the portion is pretty small(at least compared to American sizes) so if you’re really hungry, maybe order a side from one of the cute restaurants nearby. I really want to try the banana nutella crêpe here and the Nick the Greek(Falafel, hummus, tsatziki, sunblushed tomatoes, red onion, black olives, extra virgin olive oil, oregano, fresh lemon juice, rocket for 5.75 pounds). Definitely recommend this place, and grab a macaron from nearby Laduree if you’re in the mood for a small but delicious dessert!

We needed a break after walking around Covert Garden. This pink, cavern-like crepery is tucked into the bottom level corner. We ordered a couple of basic dessert crepes to share, chocolate and a nutella/strawberry(my favorite) as well as coffee. The crepes were nice, light and a nice amount of filling. They were not huge, a good size for something sweet. I do not think that they were better than other good crepes I have had elsewhere, but they were good. They also had some interesting savory crepes that we did not have a chance to try.

Been here twice now and on each occasion I have the Banoffee Pie and both times they were AMAZING!!! The first time we went was on a Saturday afternoon which is not the best time as the place was rammed, unfortunately due to the layout you get inconsiderate people hawking your table and standing over you as you eat waiting for you to get up so they can jump in or if you sit on a big table and there is two of you then you get people asking to sit next to you which I absolutely hate. The second time I went was a Weds at about 1pm and the place was empty so I reckon this is a weekend place? EIther way the crepes were really nice and I will go again. I do think though that they should re think the sitting arrangements but given the size of the place they have done the best they can.

Lesson to be learnt– don’t go to a creperier on pancake day. I was so excited after reading all these amazing reviews but my experience was so different we might have gone to a different place in a different universe. I basically didn’t pay good money to have a) very limited choice(and none of the ones I wanted to taste was available), b) overly thick pancake, c) cold fillings, d) unmelted cheese. Total failure. And I was so excited to introduce my foreign friend to her first pancake day. Crème de la crêpe, you should be bloody ashamed of yourself for letting the nation down on such an important day. At the very least, please tell the world you were planning to publicly shame yourself on your interweb site.

Oh December 18… How I will never forget you. We started off on such good terms. Our last day in London and it’s beautifully snowing… and then snowing… and then more snow. And yes… then we were stuck in all that London Heathrow mess with no way out. But let’s rewind, shall we? A beautiful snowy day spent at Covent Garden. No better way to warm up after shopping in the beautiful winter snow than to get a warm cappuccino and lemon drop crêpe(lemon and sugar) at Crème de la Crêpe … A beautiful little space, cavernous, yet still bright. Girly and pink, with polka dots everywhere. The crêpe was delicious. nice and light, and the coffee was absolutely good. I suppose their negative comes out of their positive in that it is such a small space, it was difficult to fit all their customers in… and especially on such a cold day like December 18, there were certainly a lot of people trying to fit into the small space. We were lucky enough to find ourselves a little corner, and happily enjoyed all our yummy goodness!

Nice place to chill whilst browsing Covent Garden area. The space is designed very well in case you are looking for a little hide out either with your beloved newspaper, laptop or other half. The wooden décor strikes a great balance between contemporary and homey. They serve super tasty crepes which you can either have sweet or savoury-seriously one of the best I’ve had in London. The fillings and toppings are of great variation and will fill up your rumbling tummy whilst pleasing your taste buds(click on the website to get going.) The other option include salads, smoothies, milkshakes, coffee. I recommend the Go Fishin’ Salad and mango/passionfruit/pineapple smoothie(if you fancy ditching your crape date/looking to ditch some waist inches.) The staff are really friendly too, I completely forgot in what area I was…

Some of the best crepes I have ever eaten, with delightful flavours such as philly cheesesteak and banoffee pie! If you have a preconception that crepes are boring and just stuffed with nutella or plain sugar, Crème de la Crêpe will change your mind. I will definitely be going back there again sometime when I’m in the Covent Garden area and looking for a bite to eat. To read my full review, visit my site here:

It’s pancake day, and after a sneak-peek event last week, I knew *exactly* where I was going! Créme de la Crêpe is not just another creative name, and after being introduced to this fine establishment tucked away in the underbelly of Covent Garden Market, I truly agree that this truly is as good is it gets in the crêpe department. The crème of the crêpe-crop, if you will… Oh… wait, what’s that? You did already? Oh… I see. Right. The only problem is deciding what to order: Are you going to be sacrilegious and order a(gasp) savory pancake? If so, you’ve gotta go with the Philly Cheese-crêpe. Or the buffalo bill. Or the smoked salmon. Or the Italian Job. Or, or, or…(You really can’t go wrong.) In the sweet department, it’s all about the banoffee pie. It changes lives. Believe. *Quick tip: take a cheeky peek in the corner and you’ll see a shrine to American goodies! Marshmallow crème, Mars Bars, Skippy extra crunchy peanut butter, Baby Ruth, Kool-Aid… Oh Yeah!

Batter, it’s a fabulous thing. It goes well around fish, with sausages and in Scotland, a coating for Mars bars. Here at Crème de la Crêpe, hidden in one of the converted arches of Covent Garden’s market, they spread it out on a hot skillet and make it into Crepes. Also know as pancakes. Now in the unsuspecting spot you may not expect to find anything of a foodie dream, I mean who really goes here except teenagers and tourist, but you should not judge a book by it’s cover. Sickeningly cute with pink and grey polka-dots, the little man made cave is suprisingly light and airy. Another element that caught my eye was the menu. Yes, yes we all know that Nutella needs to be in a crêpe but these are«Crème de la Crepes», expect a «Cheap Date» with Balieys, and a «Buffalo Bill» with hot wing sauce and shredded chicken. It’s mind blowing what these guys can put in a pancake. After reading Cate S’s review and having Laura N practically march me down there for a crêpe, I was very happy yet not completely satisfied with my Friday lunch… well on Pancake day I can eat about 5 pancakes, yup it’s a family record! So here I would be paying almost £25 for a meal of pancakes, not great value for money. But saying that, as lunch for a little snack, trust these tossers they’ll have you full of crêpe in no time!
