Great for a quick bite. I had shwarma hummus which came with enough meat and really good hummus. My husband got a chicken wrap and the chicken marinade was just delicious. We also shared a portion of kibbe. Overall the food was really good. The meat was great quality. Don’t expect anything as formal as a restaurant, it’s more like a little café. Food is more if you eat in rather than take away. Service is okay. I’d go in again if I’m passing by and need something quick and don’t necessarily want to sit down eating for a while!

Haven’t tried their food yet as I only stop by for their sheesha(hookah) which is pretty good and on a nice street as opposed to Edgware Rd which is too crowded. Although £25 for a hookah is pretty pricy, but I guess this is London!

Had a very good shwarma yesterday for lunch. I contemplated the charcoal grilled kofta, but last minute, I went shwarma. Hmmm, what else? I don’t have an enormous amount to add but can say that this shwarma was better than Maroush/Ranoush/Beirut Express, and they somehow were able to make it in the time I paid my bill(in cash, mind you). I don’t know if I’d go here on a date(plus, my wife is super shitty about me dating), but for a work lunch, its a MUSTSEE.

Had walked passed here a few times and seen it busy inside and out(on nice days). Finally decided to come here for lunch during the week as fancied something tasty. The service was friendly and the waitress gave us plenty of time to decide what to select from a range of options on the menu. A casual relaxed restaurant(ind of Middle Eastern café). We opted for one of he sandwiches and falafels. Our lunch came with some bread and dips also. Which was more than enough for lunch. The chicken sandwich(and we are not talking about roast chicken in white bread with mayo) was tasty and with great flavours. Would recommend giving it a go. The also had a selection of different meals to select, which maybe I will try next time.

This place was quite full of customers when we walked by, which is generally a good sign. They did have some relatively well-priced specials, so we decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, Diwan’s was a disappointment. I ordered the mixed plate — seemed like a good deal and would let us sample many items off the menu. The plating is beautiful and it actually really did look delicious. The portion was also HUGE! Sad to say, but most of the food was pretty disappointing. I’m an avowed carnivore, so it was very disappointing when both meat selections(chicken and lamb) were either dry and inedible(the chicken) or just to greasy with too many off-putting«bits» in it(the lamb). The best items on the plate was the hummus and the falafel — both were quite tasty. But since there are so many fantastic restaurants in London, Diwan’s is not worth a repeat visit.

I’ve walked past this place so many times and, today, I went in for the first time. I ordered a chicken wrap which came with salad and garlic sauce(sorry colleagues). It was cooked while I waited and was really fresh, the chicken was moist and I had no complaints whatsoever. Also, while I was there I dropped a £1 coin under the counter and on bending down to pick it up didn’t spot any dirt of grime which is pretty rare for nooks and crannies like that. I was reassured and will definitely go back, probably to eat in with a friend next time.

This place has tasty food. I had the veggie platter and it was great to try everything. Next time I go back I want that salad with the pomegranate which looks delish. The service is ok but its europe so that’s expected… and the seating is tight. More of a lunch place anyways.

did not impress. went here last night for dinner. had the mixed diwan plate. for £14 i’ve had far better meals. the plate comes with hummus and tabloui and other goodness, but the meat/bread just wasn’t as delicious as i wanted it to be. i had pretty much the exact same meal at this little hole in the wall in west kensington(wish i could remember the name of it now) that was amazingly superior and ½ the price. won’t be going back here anytime soon.

It’s a Lebanese caff-style restaurant with a lean-to tent outside where people can kipper themselves with shisha if they so choose. I’ve eaten here two times now. the first time when I was cycling past, and looking for lunch. Then, the scent of the food cooking over the barbecue was too much to resist and I succumbed to their Kafta Ourfali, a mixture of meat, aubergine and chili on a skewer cooked in front of me, served in a wrap with hommous for £3.50. Entirely delicious, what could be bad with that? So, when I wanted somewhere to eat a light meal on the way to a show I thought of here. We had, between two, a plate of their mixed meze with mixed kebab(real meat, none of that dubious donner stuff here) with added chicken wings, foulmedames and Kafta B’theineh(meatballs in lemon and sesame). We really didn’t need all that, but it was great. The bill, £30 which for the area is stonking value. So what’s so good about this place? It is clean and friendly. The food is cooked fresh to order(try those falafel) and served without fuss. Lebanese food is fresh tasting, with a completely different flavour palate Not the sort of place if you want plush service, but you can see that from the outside. If what you are looking for is a place to have a snack or a meal, with fresh interesting food, at reasonable prices look no further.

On our weekend away we had lunch here as I was eager for some middle eastern fare. The service was friendly and the ambiance very relaxed. My husband had the mixed grill and I had the minced lamb with aubergine and it was all sufficient for lunchtime. We like Noura in Paris which is much more expensive and my husband thought the food was better here. It was a nice start to a lovely weekend. A nice touch was the baklava with compliments.

This simple restaurant specializes in Lebanese food. I’m a huge fan of Lebanese cuisine, specially the savory desserts. This little joint is family run, and has a sort of market feel to it, because they sell regional products, but the also have the restaurant. I you go you must try the hommos beiruty, a spicy version of the well known dish, and the kibeh bissayniyeh, its a dish with lamb with crackled wheat and pine nuts, glorious. They also have sandwiches to take away and some really good veggie options. The service is amicable and the prices are fare and easy on your pocket.
