It’s a hidden gem, especially for American students. American tourists might benefit from it since it’s so close to the British Museum. Sometimes you want something more than your typical square sandwiches sold by the supermarket chains. Here at Eve’s, they have quite a large selection of sandwiches, and the prices are comparable, so it won’t break the bank. What I love about is that the employees/owner are super sweet, probably because they have to deal with so many students in the nearby areas(FSU being one). If you want a change from the typical sandwich+crisps+drink without dropping pounds(pardon the pun), come here.

On Your way to British Museum? Feeling hungry? Check out this place! Cheaper and better sandwiches, coffee & meals than most chains and definitely more value for your money than inside the museum. Their Chiabatta sandwich with goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes is a small Feist. A word of caution… Not open on Sunday’s.

Amazingly bad customer service. Wanted to explore some of the independent sandwich shops around this area, so popped in to Eve’s. As soon as I walked in was glared at by two fierce-looking middle aged men behind the counter. Asked for a sandwich and they literally threw a piece of bacon between two pieces of bread which is a bit like calling a single tomato on a plate a ‘salad’. Politely asked for a bit of salad and mayo to make it edible they glared at me again, before raising the price of the sandwich on the spot and calling me an offensive name. Walked out without the sandwich as the owner shouted obscenities after me and called me ‘ignorant’. And this was just a bacon sarnie! Shame too, if they had been a bit less cheap and abusive I might have come here regularly for my lunch. Very bad form.

mmmm… i work nearby and it’s ok… think others are better — what I do like is the size though — can you get larger in London?
