I have to say this is one of the best in London. There is a great relaxed atmosphere. Baristas are very friendly and love to speak about coffee !!!

Nipped in whilst waiting to check into my hotel on Old Street. Very friendly staff, a lot of seating, really nice hot chocolate and free wifi. Grat for a bit of day time working or a natter over coffee and cake. My only suggestions(not a complaint), is that they create a number of single seat tables as pretty much every seated area at my time of visiting had only one person at it. Meaning few of us were taking up a lot of space. But my one visit obviously cant observe the true use of the space… so this may not be required at all.

Seems like I like everything on this street… totally comfy relaxed Café with very great coffees and super friendly staff. You can sit in nice sofa corners, at tables or window sill counter watching street life,(interesting toilet décor… check!) and all in all: yet another ‘happy place’,(even if someone with a needle phobia like me might not expect it from a place with this name…) Totally love it, new fav hang-out.

I prefer the original! The other location(Fix126 in Shoreditch) has been a regular haunt of mine since I’ve lived here. I like it just fine, I go all the time. However, what 126 lacks… the original makes up for well. What are these you may ask? Spacious, relaxing seating & friendly barristas. The original flourishes with a very cool corner outpost on Whitecross Street/Market. It’s the epitome of «cool coffeehouse» but with the shine of well-informed and kind staff and a myriad of seating options that does not feel claustrophobic. However, BOTH locations do ICED drinks well. That may not seem like much to you outside of the UK/Europe, but iced coffee done well is hard to come by in these parts. Fix has it on lock. You can have your drink over ice, blended, etc. They never look at you with scorn when it is 30+ degrees and you just can’t fathom a hot coffee but NEED some caffeine. They get me. **The main mistake most places make when preparing iced drinks is making it hot and then dumping it over ice. Big fat, melty NO. This is gross. Lukewarm milk? No thank you. Tepid half cold coffee that is watered down? No. Fix has it correct, and thus I go there all summer long when I need something cold. I’ll be back when I have some more time to kill, the digs are comfortable, there’s a few tables dotted around outside, they’ve got free wifi and the place just oozes«come drink coffee.» I will, thank you.

Great space, nice servers and free wifi. There are too few sit down coffee spots in London. Glad this place exists.

good coffee but the milk was curdled:( the doughnut was too dry and heavy and this for the price of £2.50. nice, chilled out place though.

This place was literally 60 steps from my flat and I spent a lot of time here working, using their WiFi, eating snacks and drinking coffee(or tea). The prices are good, the quality is even better. There is nothing to complain about it, really! Sometimes it gets a little crowded but the big couches and comfy tables will not disappoint. I have tried the capuccino, chai latte, regular tea and the juices(from what I remember they are organic). The location is great, only one and a half blocks from Old St., and you are right in the middle between the Northern and Metropolitan tube lines, a few blocks from London School of Arts and Old St. You will notice very soon the ambience here is a little«hipster-ish», from the people coming in to the baristas, everyone has a little something alternative going on.

Lovely coffee shop that does excellent coffee’s and chai tea. I like the retro style sitting area inside as well. You feel like you can really relax and enjoy a unique cup of coffee with friends in this environment. If you want to come alone and relax– they also give out free 1 hour wi-fi tickets if you inquire. Each cup comes with a pretty design on the foam. They also have an assortment of iced coffee drinks(iced latte is so good!) which I was so excited to find in London!

Wifi is available on one-hour tickets. But I have seen people get several tickets. The service is so friendly. And the space is loud but good. Good coffee.

Another solid if unremarkable ‘awesome fun independent café’. Atmosphere: I love the feel of this place though I’m starting to get the sense that so many of these spots go for the same vibe that it starts to seem almost generic. Some exposed steel piping. Modern minimal look at parts with nice clean wooden chairs/tables, but then there are old armchairs/couches and other retro fittings thrown in to the mix. Coffee: Excellent! Felt my flat white was absolutely spot on. Usual selection of espresso based drinks. Food(3⁄5): Went at 1330 thinking I’d grab lunch as well. They were all out of sandwiches and had 2 salads left. Had a pre-packed buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomato and basil salad. Exceedingly average. They had some pastries in front of the counter as well but these really didn’t look that great. Notes: A jug of water you can help yourself to so that’s nice. Lots of seating, and lots and lots of plugs! Huge plus point. Also, I’m not sure if it’s always the case but they were playing really nice chill housey music which I find to be quite rare here and I absolutely love so that was cool. Loyalty card — buy 9, get the 10th free. Overall: Would definitely go back for the coffee and ambiance, but not for the food.

Fix is a fine alternative coffee joint. On location/atmosphere…its top notch. But I’ve never had coffee or food here that was worth the money… in my opinion. So… great if I want to grab a bottle of juice and read for an hour. Not so good if I need a caffeine fix.

I kind of wish my living room was like Fix. Loads of huge leather couches, plenty of power points, a surprising number of good-looking geeky-type guys, and all the coffee, tea, and smoothies you could want. I mean… what’s –not– to like about this shop? Free wi-fi is available in one-hour blocks of time via codes one can obtain from the baristas behind the counter. Whilst somewhat inconvenient, I appreciate that this might otherwise become one of those spots that folks come and park and spend all day at over a single coffee. Between the mean iced soy latte(which was good, but not quite so good as Baked & Wired’s ) and a refreshing mint Teapigs, I had a wonderfully productive Sunday afternoon at Fix. And I hope to repeat the experience many times in the future!

Fix is a great coffee shop situated in a converted pub adjacent to Whitecross Market. Unlike most of its competitors Fix has masses of space inside and a few spots outside as well which, together with the high ceilings and big windows, makes it a relaxing place to pass some pleasant moments, whether you are en route to work or taking a break in the afternoon. In the mornings there are always a selection of newspapers to peruse and free WiFi is also available which again helps to forge a congenial atmosphere. To date, I have only tasted the espresso here. This is well made with a good crema. The breakfast snacks are also tasty, although some healthier options would be appreciated by me to avoid a visit here always resulting in a pastry being consumed alongside my coffee!

Lovely café with lots of seatings. This place is opened 7 days a week with free wifi *woot woot* The fact that everything is organic in the store(including their candy.) makes it an extra hipster coffee house along with some chillax outdoor seatings. Not the MOST amazing coffee ever but overall, coffee is alright with cute hippie vibe!

If I am shopping at Barbican Waitrose I always treat myself with a double espresso to go. Very good but not great. Similar feel to Shoreditch Grind but much comfier and friendlier. I could sit and tap here with coffee for the afternoon. There are so many decent coffee bars in the area that competition is tough not sure I would go out of my way to get here but definitely somewhere I would pop in whenever I pass. Real light and airy feel and the sandwiches/pastries always look fab!

Fix is located where the old Coffee@Whitecross used to be. I’d known of this place for a while, but hadn’t been in until today given he presence of some incredibly tough competition in the form of Whitecross St Market being right outside. I really like the place; décor is probably something called industrial chic(or I may have made that up) and the sofas are worn but comfortable. There’s an assortment of juices including Vita Coco and Apple & Elderflower available in the fridge, and a variety of delicious-looking sandwiches. I had the roast pumpkin, goat’s cheese and rocket on multigrain bread and it was delicious, and made this hungover lass feel all together more human. I didn’t try the coffee though, as my regular coffee place is really nearby so can’t comment. You can also get free wifi for an hour here by approaching the counter for a password.

This cute little coffee shop on Whitecross Street popped up a while ago and it’s been on my to do list for months. This morning I had the chance to try their roast and enjoy some of their breakfast treats. The coffee is nothing memorable but they do offer up filter which is a winner in my books. They also have free wifi, friendly staff, loads of seating and only use organic milk. As you can see, it’s looking bright for this place. It was an early Saturday and already they had a fair few regulars in drinking, chatting and hanging out. It’s also dog friendly so bring your pup if you have one. On a final note, their food was a little lack-lustre with just your regular sarnies and salads. It’ll be a great work space and I can see myself coming back but with all the other coffee delights in the area they have some tough competition.

Much to my delight, Fix Coffee is housed in a rather large space, so there are plenty of seating options for the coffee-swilling inclined. There are, sort of, «lap-top library» seats near the front door, so that one may easily plug-in, surf the web and drink a latte. In the middle of the shop are sofas, arm chairs, and coffee tables to give one the impression of hanging out a living room. Sink in to a sofa with a paper and bevvie! Ahhh! One warm days, one could sit outside amid the Farmers’ Market and people-watch. The only bummer would be that Fix only offers«to go» cups. BYOMug?

I felt right at home here, as they catered to all my needs: — free wifi — you can pay by card(yay!) — they offer very tasty filter coffee(no need to drink an Americano) — comfy sitting areas with couches, as well as regular tables All in all, a solid four stars and a very good reason to come back many times!
