Unique taste, compared with other pizza shops available in the London. I like to eat in the dinner time once a month there.

The best pizza place in Brixton. And certainly one of the best in London, for a cheap price! Around 6−7£ a pizza made with fresh Italian ingredients. There’s nothing else to say apart from that the food is tasty and the place is busy. Don’t come during peak time if you don’t like to wait, or ask for takeaway you’ll be served in 10mns !

Clean, decent service, good alcohol, good ambiance and affordable good food makes a great go to restaurant. I had the meat special of the day: ham, mozzarella, organic olives, artichokes. Hands down amazing pizza. The olives were surprisingly good for someone who has never liked them till this meal. My girlfriend had number 4 on the menu. Don’t remember the name but it was great. If you like wine try the Trebbiano with the meat pizzas. The other wine is good for vegetarian. In addition the pale ale is very good. Comparable to some San Diego pale ales(I’m from San Diego and a big fan of stone) If you want you can ALSO try wines before having them.

This place is solid, and you should trust my review because I was born and raised in the south of Italy and pizza is as important to us as BoJo’s hair is to Londonites. Ok well, it’s important. Thin crust but not breakable, good sauce(without oregano, you gross tourists), juicy mozzarella. Yep, I’m a fan.

Best pizzas in London in my opinion. Minimal toppings, minimal cooking time(they are blasted in a super hot oven for mere minutes) and with minimal fuss. Pizza is made thin in the Napoli style with a sourdough base. There is a short menu(always a good sign), with daily meat and vegetarian specials. Plus they do takeaway.

Listen, I’ve eaten my way through the best pizzerias of Naples and what Franco Manco has done in London is incredible. The quality is a notch below what you would find at let’s say La Notizia in Naples BUT Franco Manco is extremely consistent and I love the vibe in the Brixton location.

I’d heard rave reviews about Franco Manca for months, and finally visited last weekend. Boy have they nailed their pizzeria game! We did have to wait around 20 mins for a table(Saturday evening), but were served drinks while we waited before being seated in the overflow room next door. This still felt very much a part of the restaurant(and perhaps slightly less packed), and service was good. The sourdough pizza is absolutely delicious, and the toppings were simple and tasty in the true Italian style. Oils are provided for crust-dipping and the bread we shared before our meal was great. Even with shared starters, aperitifs, mains, beers and two bottles of wine, the bill only came to just over £20 each(for 5 of us). Time will tell whether Franco Manca’s is just a fad or becomes an established favourite, but I’m certainly planning to return.

There is nothing exceptional about it here so I’m not sure why the lines are so long. The pizza is fine, but a little bland and boring. If you’re at Brixton market, I’d check out one of the many other options. I wish the menu were bigger and that their sauce had more flavor. I know I sound like a jerk but I prefer frozen pizzas from Waitrose. There, now call me a jerk.

After all the hype and seeing this place pop up all over, me and my friends popped in whilst in Brixton. To be honest I wasn’t feeling it. It was busy but not overly so. We could choose to sit in or out. We were freezing so decided to sit inside. mistake. It was warmer outside. At least outside had heaters. It was reasonably priced. I didn’t really feel like eating so was planning to have something little. I obviously didn’t realise or look at the menu beforehand that this wasn’t really an option. The pizza I ordered was fine but found it a bit tasteless. The service was good, untraditional but endearing. They obviously wanted our table as they tried to shoo us away before my change was given. But very apologetic when They realised I hadn’t got it yet. I’d give it another go but I personally don’t have great expectations.

The dough is so good that even my pizza sans cheese tasted excellent. Wild broccoli(who knew this stuff existed untamed?), Gloucester Old Spot sausage, and mushrooms to finish off the foresty toppings. They’re very explicit about how much tomato sauce is on each pizza, so if you don’t want a more dry or moist pizza, pay attention. Prices are decent, just under 7 quid for each pie.

I tried this place for a mid week takeaway meal after walking past countless times and always seeing massive queues of people waiting to get in. I was not disappointed. Limited menu, with very simple flavours. Pizzas were delicious, mainly because dough was so good. Ingredients were of a high quality and flavour combinations were great, but pizzas were oddly sparse of passata and cheese. They could be more generous in that regard because at times it felt like I just had a mouth full of dry dough! Chorizo was a standout, followed closely by the anchovy and olive one. I’ll try the margarita next time…

I have died and gone to Pizza Heaven! My friends have been hyping it up for me for months, but I honestly think it has lived up to the hype. They don’t do reservations, and it’s first come-first serve; so I was very delighted when we were seated quickly on a Saturday night(around 6:30pm). Just be aware that if you come later, it’s likely you’ll be in a massive queue. The pizzas were amazing. They came out quickly and the sourdough crust just melts in your mouth! I was even brave enough to try my very first anchovy pizza! And I loved how we made our own as well: a delectable combo of ham, blue cheese and artichoke. It was all delicious and I was very satisfied. The hardest thing about the menu is that everything is cheap! I just want to order the entire menu for myself! I may just do so the next time I’m back in Brixton. During the winter season, it is very cold. And depending on where you’ll be seated(inside or outside), you should just keep your coat on. Look out for their daily specials!

Brilliant pizza and charming to be served by Italians! Sourdough was brilliant and the crusts dipped in the lovely olive oil is even better. Very reasonably priced, would certainly return. Que wasnt bad at all. As you could be sitting in Brixton Village(semi outside) make sure to take a decent coat, saying that they do have very good heaters, so dont be put off!

Just going to say it, I’m not the greatest fan of pizza. Yes, I can see the fuss, especially with a few brews to accompany a slice, but given I’m not the greatest with cheese I normally pass. BUT, I dropped in at the Broadway Market spot with a few friends one Sunday eve and what a great surprise. The restaurant is tiny, so expect to clamber over some other diners when finding your seat. But this will be a rewarded challenge as the menu and the food are great. Sourdough base, piping hot and fresh ingredients made this an excellent quick bite. The service was perfect and they were kind enough to drop the cheese even though a lot of people still can’t get the head around a pizza with no cheese. Arguably the best thing about this spot though, the price. Our bill came to about 8 pound each, which for food of this quality is insane. From a not-so-overly keen fan of Pizza go. If you love pizza, you’ll be a regular.

Franco Manca is Napoli style pizza. I am one of those sacrilegious sort who prefer American-style pizza, so Franco Manca is not something that I would delight in, but I do know that they do it well. Having had pizza in Napoli, I can attest to Franco Manca’s quality. The sourdough base is soft and correct and although you have the option to add toppings, I prefer Neopolitan pizzas when they are kept simple. I may have ruined mine a little by adding too much on top, but if I happen to be in Franco Manca again, I will be smarter and enjoy the dough with the sauce and cheese alone. The lemonade here is really excellent too. The lines here are a bit crazy sometimes. It was empty, so I went somewhere else for 10 minutes and when I came back there was a line down the block. It does move fast though so don’t worry, you will get your pizza :)

How have I not reviewed this place yet? I’ve been here on SO many occasions for good, fast pizza that I was surprised to not have. This intro gives you the basics — come here it’s so good that you’ll come back. The pizzas are the draw. The wine and beer are OK, and the restaurant itself isn’t the best. But the pizzas. The menu is pretty simple, with a good selection of different toppings. The specials(displayed on chalkboards, obviously) change regularly and are particularly good. You can add toppings as with most restaurants, but unhelpfully there’s no real information about how much individual extra toppings cost. Sometimes there’s a queue, but arriving around 7 on a non-Friday weeknight should allow you to be seated swiftly and get some good pizza in your belly. The staff are fast and friendly enough, meaning if you have a small party you can get in and out fast(if you don’t mind potentially sharing a big table with another party). I’ve not been there with many people, so this may change things.

There’s usually a queue outside, but never fear! I’ve never had to wait more than 20 minutes. What is there to say about the pizza that hasn’t already been said… Franco Manca made a pizza snob from New York fall in love with their beautiful, beautiful little sourdough pies. Baked to perfection and topped with interesting, fresh ingredients like wild broccoli and different types of sausage. What a find. I’ll definitely be back soon!

The pizza here is most definitely a cut above most places and that’s why it’s a deservedly popular place. I couldn’t help but find the menu rather confusing but at the same time very short of choice… which if you are asked your order while you queue can lead to additional flustering(although ordering while queuing is a good idea otherwise). I think I’d prefer trying takeout(I could add my own jalapeños for a start) or one of their restaurants next time. The no logo lager was a bit disappointing, tasting much like one of the bland mainstream brands.

Long line? Check. Friendly staff offering drinks while we wait? Check. Tiny place involving sharing tables with strangers? Check(but I don’t mind). I’ve been hearing great things about Franco Manca for a while, and when my partner and I were down in Brixton to meet some friends we decided to have a quick dinner there, first. We shared a regular pizza and a tomato/garlic/oregano pizza. The regular pizza was delicious! So was the garlic one, but it was actually a bit too garlicky for us — surprising, considering we both put garlic in everything! Also surprising was the service. Considering how quick the line ended up moving to get in, we both expected to feel rushed through our meal. Instead, the staff never pushed us and, in fact, encouraged us to sit and order more if we wanted. They also took their time bringing us the check — both good(in the sense that they weren’t rushing us out) and bad(in the sense that, well, we were ready to go!). The real draw here is the dough, and they didn’t disappoint. Slightly burnt bottom, chewy crust. This former New Yorker loved it, and will definitely be back!
