I had a tasty venison burger with bacon jam at the bustling Borough market. It was a long lineup but I didn’t wait too long. The burger was tasty, if slightly under seasoned. A little much for the price, but it’s a good choice if you’re craving a burger. My party had the paella, and it was also quite good.

Food hut 2 stars. Fish stall 4 stalls. Average 3 stars Meh is the perfect word to sum up my food hut exprience here. Located in the heart of the foodie heaven of Borough Market means that I have to judge it against the other food pofferings within a 100 metre radius These huge pans of paella and curry do give off an enticing aroma and they offer free samples. However, I found the flavours to be quite muted and the dishes a little watery I would rather have a pork sandwich with crackling and apple sauce from Roast, a duck sandwich from Marche du Quartier, cheesy goodness from Kappasacein, a burger from Boston sausages, fresh oysters, empanadas, goat ice cream, huge brownies, etc etc. You get the idea However, I do like their fish counter. Though not the cheapest, they have good variety. and I’ve had some great scallops and razor clams from here

Kudos for opening on all days of the week. Had it not for the boiling cauldrons of spicy goodness my trip to the Borough Market on Tuesday and Thursday would have been for naught. At five quids a pop these boxes of curry chicken take-outs(three variants to my knowledge) are reasonably priced given the area and the venue. Do ask about their fish soup of the day — they’re particularly excellent on those cold wintery days.

Great curries, awesome fish selection, a little bit pricey I took one of my friends to Borough last Saturday as he’s been in London for about a year, works at London Bridge, yet never made it over to try any of its delights. Ridiculous. Everyone should go to Borough and eat at least once, just for the experience if not for the delicious foods. Of course, for a newbie, we had to go to Furness fish shop for the start of our lunch. See, while I love the taste of the thai green curry with chicken, mussels, and other assorted seafood depending on their mood(or perhaps stocks) that week, the quantity just isn’t enough. For a fiver, I would like to leave feeling at least contentedly full but usually I’m still craving something more to fill me up. But I digress. The curries are cooked to near perfection with the rich green curry swirling around succulent morsels of fish and tender chicken. The bed of rice is excellent for soaking up the flavour and give a bit more substance to the meal. Despite the crowds, you can usually get served within 5 minutes, grab a spork and muscle your way over to Southwark Cathedral which has plenty of seating to chill out in the sun and enjoy your meal. Overall, make this one of your regular stops, it’s good wholesome food(and sorta healthy too!).

WOW! This place is amazing… really! I think their chicken curry is one of the best dishes at borough market. They also have an awesome Thai green curry that ricks my taste buds too. The food is cheap an delish, shown by the crowd in front of this stand!
