Fish Market

Went there with friends on a Saturday night. It is located on a quiet small street right across Liverpool Street station. The stuff we’re welcoming and I really like the decoration and the environment in there too.
The food is pricy but I guess it’s mostly seafood you can not compare it with others. They do have really good salmon. We ordered the seafood for share platter and it was great. Will probably be better if we have four people because we almost half full after the starter.

Nice little place that is out of the way from the Liverpool station. I ordered the 2-​course pre-​fixed dinner. Nice squid appetizer. Steamed cod with broth & clams were ok. Must try other fish next time.
Hostess was very accommodating — stored my bags & coat.
One thing that they can improve on is to shorten the wait of the 1^st & 2^nd courses.
Overall a good place to get seafood.

We have been suggested this restaurant from the hotel we stayed in… It was back in 2014…
I have to say the atmosphere is nice and staff was friendly.
As a starter, me and my boyfriend both ordered a prawn cocktail (which was ok, but for that price I would expect more prawns), and as a main we decided to share the lobster… First of all it was really small (so if you really want to try it, take the whole by yourself), second it felt like it was cooked from frozen! The wine however was nice, an Italian white if I am not mistaken
Definitely the whole dinner wasn’t worth the £80 we were charged (yes, we still remember that bill!).
We left the place with an empty stomach and a big disappointment.
I hope we have just been unlucky, or that the place has improved since, but I wouldn’t dare to try and go back there!

What a lovely restaurant. It is located down a quiet road. There is a lovely seating area outside with some seaside inspired props fish, netting etc. and just in case it rains whilst you are outside they have massive umbrellas that they can put up to stop the rain from getting you along with some outside heaters. Inside is nicely decorated as well however I feel the noise level of when people re talking is quiet loud inside. I sat outside and yes it rained so the umbrellas were put up and i did not feel a drop of rain then. I ordered bacon and pancakes, beer battered cod and chips and lemon posset from the 3 course fixed menu at £18 which I think is a bargain especially in London.

The beer battered cod was amazing light thin tasting batter, piping hot, very fresh flake apart fish, beautiful mushy creamy peas and nice thin chips (even though chips on luke warm side)
Lemon posset creamy, smooth, tangy and looked cool in the blue and white striped cup.
I would definitely go back to this restaurant again if I am in the area.

I had my birthday celebration here and took advantage of the unlimited prosecco brunch on a Saturday. There was a large group of us (16 people). The restaurant were in touch before and we have our food orders in advance. The staff were very helpful with a couple of guests with dietary requirements and the menu choice is really big. You can pick two or three courses, £15/£18 with the option of unlimited prosecco for £15, which is really unlimited– it was flowing throughout the few hours we were there!

This place is overpriced because of it’s location, but aside from that, food was blend and food is too salty.
the white wine mussels weren’t bad. but way too creamy. fresh though.
scallops and other fish dishes were nice, but just nothing special.
Overall seafood wasn’t bad but take note: cocktails were a BORE.

Fish Market is located down a quiet side street 1 minute from Liverpool St station. It has a large outside seating area, and steps lead up to the main glass fronted seating area.
There is a modern rustic feel inside, the inevitable sea side theme is played down and subtle with some cute touches, like the napkins tied up with string.
The standard menu is huge and the list of specials was pretty big too. I was spoilt for choice. The wine list has loads of choice too and on Mondays there is an amazing 50% off on bottles of wine.
The food was great and the service was excellent. I’ll be heading back if I’m in the area.
