I enjoyed this smallish restaurant around the corner from Liverpool street station. I had the basic fish and chips at the bar. The Salad with Blue Cheese was a standout. I cannot wait go back and try some more.

Six of us had dinner tonight. We had a reservation for seven pm on a Friday night. With reservations our table was ready on time. They had been out of a few items on the menu but this didn’t effect us at all. We all ordered the typical fish and chips and it was good. For those of you looking for a place to talk while eating this is NOT your place. While we all did enjoy the meal I would not say it is the very best, but it was very good. So for six with four apps, a bottle of wine and 3 mixed drinks it was over 200 pounds.

This place is good. But it’s more pricey than good. Not sure if that’s just his place or fish and chips in general though… Let me say now, I have worked in two chippies up north. This is where I’m coming from. Not sure if that’s good or bad. You device. The fish was spot on. Good size(for £10 you would hope so) and nice. The chips were good but for £3 you might want more. Then again I couldn’t finish my food… But still. Mushy peas were £2 and nice. But not what I remember. Garlic mayo was nice! For 50p good value. Almost worth getting this instead of peas. Service was good. One waiter was great. One wasn’t. They did forget one curry sauce. In general I would pop here if you want expensive fish and chips. But it was £21 a head which is high end. But it tasted average(it is fish and chips after all).

Nice atmosphere tucked away best Liverpool Station. Fresh food. Great beer and good drinks. It’s a little bit hipster. For London it’s a great value. I recommend the fried fish or fish pie. Birth are made to order

I hadn’t been to the original Fish & Chip shop up in Islington, so was very excited to visit the Liverpool Street branch when it opened recently. I found it a little hard to find the restaurant, but once we were in, felt right at home. The atmosphere was relaxed, the wait staff were polite and chatty and also very helpful. The half pint of prawns for starter was ideal to share, perfectly cooked and in a delightful little mug. The shrimp burger was incredible, moist but not falling apart, something I could eat every day! To finish we had the dark chocolate and caramel pot, which I’d recommend to anyone. Add to that the first cocktail I’ve ever had with dandelion & burdock in and my meal here was surprisingly one of the best of the year.
