Best place in central London for a cheap fry up. Eggs, bacon, toast and coffee for less than £5 is great value and is cooked freshly. There aren’t many seats and it’s popular with the local builders. The lunchtime roast dinners are popular but quite rich. The salad bar is quite good and the meat that you can add to the salads is a nice extra. A large salad with a portion of meat is £5.40 and a much better value large salad that other local alternatives.

As an American tourist looking for some traditional English food in a no-fuss setting, I really enjoyed Fuzzy’s. As did my family. Not a huge menu but good portions, lots of stuff to try within each meal, and friendly staff. Prices seemed very reasonable compared to lots of other London options. So biggest obstacle to eating at this place is just finding it – kind of in an alley. But I think worth the effort.

Doesn’t offer much but what it does have is fresh and tasty. Convenient location near the Commonwealth Secretariat.

A good spot for some takeaway lunch, £5.75 for a roast in a box. Was reasonably busy when I got there. Personally, I preferred the look of the beef and lamb to the pork or chicken, but I guess it depends on the day. I plumped for lamb with roast potatoes, veg, stuffing and Yorkshire pudding. Passed on the mint sauce but got the gravy. It’s packaged well and didn’t leak on my way back to the office. It was tasty, still hot and good quality, veg still firm, meat tender and the gravy went well with it. They cut the meat up for you so it’s easier to eat one handed with a fork I guess? I’d prefer it if they didn’t, if you eat in I don’t think they do that. All in all, a satisfying lunch.

Oh the benefits of getting lost. Working in nearby Victoria I’d long wanted to visit Fuzzy’s Grub at this location but could never find the mythical place. When I noticed that the Fuzzy Grub at London Bridge had gone out of business I began to fear that the entire chain had succumbed similarly, and that the Fuzzy’s Grub reportedly just off Pall Mall was now lost to the mists of time. But then a random decision to take a different route back from St James’ Square to Victoria, followed by getting lost, feeling hungry, heading for the food signs in secluded Crown Passage and exploring this hitherto unknown place suddenly resulted in me staring up in disbelief at the legendary Fuzzy’s Grub. Entering the venue appeared to suggest that the proprietors and clientèle were not ghosts in some kind of Flying Dutchman-style eatery and I walked up to place my order. Fuzzy’s Grub is a British eatery. It serves British food, centred around roasts, sausages and bacon which can be had in sandwiches or on dishes to eat in or to go. I was hungry and in a hurry, and so opted for a gloriously British affair of three sausages, boiled carrots and peas on a huge bed of mashed potatoes doused with lashings of gravy. It was glorious in its unpretentiousness: little thought given to presentation, just good food lumped together and ripe for scooping into one’s mouth. It was glorious in its quality: among the best I’ve had, particularly at the incredible £5.75 price point. And it was glorious in its generous serving, crammed into a plastic dish approaching 20 cm in length and 7 cm in width. Eating it whilst walking along the Mall towards Buckingham Palace warmed my very English soul. Forget Italian. Forget Asian. And forget Mexican. When in Britain’s capital, get thee to Fuzzy’s Grub for lunch and gorge yourself on good, honest British grub. But leave some for me.

I wanted to eat English food without the pub and this place was highly recommended for staple food. I jumped on the bus from Chelsea and headed towards Piccadilly. It’s under a passage in an alley… Here, I had Yorkshire pudding. It’s English enough without something heavy like roast beef. The formula at this place is pretty simple. You order a meat and the bread for your sandwich and add a side. They thought i was crazy to just order Yorkshire Pudding. Little did they know, I AM crazy. Crazy is what crazy does — I also bought a very over-priced bottle of Ribena when I could have gotten it cheaper at a convenience store. Well, I wasn’t about to shove Yorkshire Pudding down my throat without my favorite British soft drink. Seating is limited — as with the entire city. Upon reflection, I should have taken my food to Green Park and watch people get on the double-decker red buses. Next time

A fanatastic place to grab lunch just off St. James’s st. Whoever started Fuzzy’s Grub should be given a frickin’ medal. Delicious, Delicious, Delicious. Getting to Fuzzy’s Grub is half the fun. Crown passage is like something out of Harry Potter. A narrow, cobbled street with lots of pokey, interesting shops. This could easily be Diagon Alley. Shame the muggles already know about it! God i’m sad… Try the roast chicken sandwich or one of the famous boxed salads. They also have freshly made soups. If you were out drinking last night, the sausage and egg sandwich can cure the wickedest of hangovers.
