I always have a bit of affection for the Giraffe franchise, cheap cocktails, boozey pre holiday breakfasts and a rather successful first date included drinks at a north east branch, I will always prefer non chain restaurants, but when friends picked this one I was more than happy to oblige.
The restaurant was packed, there was no space out side to take advantage of the British five days of summer, so we went in.
We shared olives to start and I got on the fruity cocktails, the service was ridiculously fast. Our food arrived in 5 minutes of ordering, and one of my cocktails arrived in less time than it would take to find the ingredients in my cupboard!
The food was beautiful, I had the Kiev schnitzel, and my friends the Moroccan chicken and the sushi salad. All ruddy wonderful.
My only complaints were our waitress was a little grumpy, and I’m going to tip anyway! YOU DONT NEED TO ADD A SERVICE CHARGE!

Exactly what you want at 5am at Heathrow before a flight. I love the breakfast pancakes and Ginger Blast juice. They also do amazing meals that are perfect for dinner, leaving you feeling full but not uncomfortable and like you have over indulged.
