Nice pub located on the high street with big light open feel. Also a huge garden out the back. They make their own toffee vodka, plenty of beer choices and they also do hog roasts for occasions. South African run so plenty of sports showing with events held around big games. Went for a charity event and the hog roast and crackling was amazing! Salads not bad. Served with chakalaka which was delish!

I would normally avoid pubs with names like GJs, but I was pleasantly surprised about this one. It is a traditional pub with a slightly spartan interior, bare wooden floors and wood chairs. They have two hand pump beers, Sambrooks Wandle and Fuller’s London Pride. The best part is their large patio and garden at the back, ideal for summer days. I can’t comment on the food, but they also have a barbecue outside.

Nice little pub/bar with an Expat feel and fairly lively atmosphere. The décor is colonial, with dark wood and blinds. Sports TV is often on, but not in a bad way. They have a lovely outdoor area, with a TON of picnic tables, sofas etc. Grapevines and eucalyptus trees. Very nice sun-trap. We come for the 2 for 1 lunches, which have always been pleasant. You can always rely on their burgers to be good(wish I could say the same at more places). The bean burger is especially delicious, as was the steak sandwich in ciabatta. Good location to swing by after an afternoon at the mall or park.

GJ’s on Garratt Lane is centrally located, and always appears to be a busy, vibrant little pub. They have a small but agreeable garden situated outside, nice in winter but even better in summer. Weekends see live music and DJs perform, though it’s best to visit a pub like this with a few good mates you haven’t seen in a while. At the drop of a hat you can rent GJ’s for a party of up to 150 people in size. Catering options for larger events are also great: check with them about a speciality spit roast and their marquee area. The food menu is not very diverse, but you can always expect top notch food from the chefs at GJ’s.

After a hard slog around the Southside shopping centre it was a welcome interlude to be able to sit down and have a beer and something to eat. This appears to be the only place worth going to in this part of Wandsworth and I thought that is was an o.k. sort of a place. Nice seating area to the rear to have a cigarette and no doubt a bbq in the summer. I had a roast which was o.k. I have had better but certainly a lot worse. Large enough to not feel like we were the only one’s in there it looked like it might be a place to party in the evenings ? Nice pub, will go there again when shopping and might even pop over in the evening to see if it is a good place to party.

The ski company I work for always has its end of season party here, as you might imagine this is always a messy affair, and so my memory of the bar is somewhat sketchy as a result. Despite being somewhat in the middle of nowhere, GJs seems to have a lively clientele. There appear to be a large number of ski related companies who use this place as a party venue. This results in it being popular for ski related activities such as getting dressed up and drinking far more than is healthy, or maybe I am just mistaking this for ordinary British behavior. As pointed out by a previous reviewer, this is not one for a quiet pint, but it does do a good line in parties.

If you’re into your meat, the best thing about GJ’s is that there’s a massive spit-roast occasionally(seems to be the weekends). There was one there when I went anyways. I went to this pub with my boyfriend a while back, he wanted to watch the rugby on the big screen. The pub always seems teeming with sports fans, which always puts me off. I just feel this pub lacks atmosphere, the clientele put me off and it doesn’t feel as intimate as I’d like but if sports and loud groups of people are your thing then this is for you.
