I was in a festive mood and made hubbs come with me to Gogi-Gogi for Chinese New Year. Thought we’d get some dim-sum and celebrate right. It was a weeknight and we came straight from the gym, so it was nearly 9pm. A few tables were still occupied, but they had finished their mains and it was mostly quiet. We took the waiter up on his recommendations and ordered Tsing Tao while we waited. And waited and waited. The gym glow wore off and suddenly we were ravenous. By the time we finished our meal and two beers, it was nearly 10:30 and we were half drunk from drinking on an empty, empty stomach. There is no way it should have taken that long – especially as all the tables had cleared out by the time we got our first dim-sum. The cost wasn’t a big deal £40+, but we should have really enjoyed it for that amount. Next time, we’ll just go to Greedy Buddha instead, which leaves us still on the hunt for an awesome Chinese in Fulham.
