Seriously cheap but in my opinion I would rather spend more and be in decent place. No atmosphere, no decorations, boucers on the door from very early(like 5ish!) not an inviting place. There is literally nothing to look at in there apart from posters of how cheap the drinks are. This all combines to attract the sort of people you would not want to meet later on when the cheap drinks have kicked in. Not the place for a nice sophisticated evening.

Probably one of the worst pubs in croydon. I know its a cheap poundstretcher type market pub, but add that to staff who really cant be bothered, food cooked with the plastic still on it, with no apology, ‘do you want yr money back then?’ long waits at the bar, it really isnt worth the cheap prices. Nasty.

This pub could be so much better than what it is. This pub chain offers cheap drinks and easy cooked food which is easy on your wallet. The pub really needs to be gutted and completely revamped, it would make the place much more inviting.

Any pub that serves cheap beer is doing a fine job.

Something about the Goose reminds me of a working mens club. It’s got that sort of ingrained, dirty cheapness that you can feel seeping into you as soon as you step through the doors. Or, perhaps, something of a run-down student union. In essence, it really has nothing going for it as a venue, and the cheap drinks promotions and the like attract entirely the wrong sort of crowd. Best avoided!

Excellent pub of which I am a regular, the drinks are incredibly cheap and the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming no matter what time of the day it is. The toilet facilites is why it is a 4 star instead of a 5 as that are so incredibly poor I avoid using them but if you can look past that I recommend going there

During the day, this pub is relatively quiet, with an older crowd enjoying food and reasonably priced ales and bitters. However, in the evenings, most notably Thursday through Saturday, the pub attracts a younger, louder and livelier crowd. When the crowd increases, an excellent atmosphere is created, complimented by good music and very cheap prices. The Goose gets very busy around the student holiday times, no doubt the £2.25 doubles have something to do with this! The closing time is relatively early(around 11:30), so I would generally recommend going to the Goose before moving onto a club, for example, the nearby Tiger Tiger, Walkabout or Black Sheep Bar.
