I visited this venue to regain the energy lost on this very cold winter day. The pub is literally at the main gate to Greenwich Park slightly further away from Cutty Sark so it’s less busy than otherwise fully packed establishments closer to the station and around Greenwich Market. Basically it’s a slightly hip pub that tries to establish itself as a more refined place. You can see it on the menu prices where a typical meal and drink will set you apart with amount close to mid range restaurant. The good things: the staff is really friendly and nice, always smiling. The music: britpop from 90s and some indie from 00s creates a nice atmosphere. IT’S NOTTOOLOUD :) you can work from here if you like. There is a decent WiFI. The food arrived pretty quickly. I ordered a bean burger with guacamole. It was ok but was expecting slightly higher quality given the price. You know what I mean: stony chips and cracking bean burger crust could be forgiven in Weatherspoon but not here. So that was a mild disappointment. However I can’t complain too much. Oasis is playing and it all makes up for it :) The location as well. Verdict: perfect to Work from Park. Otherwise get the food from somewhere nearby!

Just drinks so if your looking for food read no more. We came here after climbing the hill to the observatory, a different review, to wait for the boat to take us back down the river to London. We were happy to sit and people watch for a while even though the area we sat in was reserved for later use, it was useful to us. Just know they will kick you out when your time is up, good to know if you want to reserve a spot on the sofas in the back(hint hint). The food actually looked good. We had eaten already but had we known we would have come here. It was a great little surprise and impromptu stop. Recommend going in for a drink but I can not recommend the food. Good luck and enjoy!

Throw back music, food was delicious, overall would highly recommend. Fun atmosphere without being too much. Camembert and garlicbread are a must

A-Ok is a great way to categorize this place. The food was not bad and the drink list was not bad. We shared the fried chicken sandwich and the burger and decided it was ‘not bad’. Nothing amazing, but it did hit the burger and chips spot we were hopping to hit. The choice of beer on tap is not extensive but not bad either. The real bonus of this place is the location. Right on the park with both indoor and outdoor seating. A nice place to hang out with a group of people to watch the tourists visit the area. Don’t go to get anything delicious, but do count on something to satisfy you and keep you entertained along the way.

Wow, this place has changed. I’m guessing the management or the chef. I went there last night and had a terrible experience, I was so excited to go back for a juicy burger! There was nothing juicy about it, it was as dry as anything. The chips that were homemade and wedge like and delicious have been replaced by frozen chips. We asked to send our food back but they said we couldn’t. They gave us a free drink but that’s not good enough. Also, their prices have gone up by a couple of quid. Will not be coming back!

The Greenwich Tavern has the perfect location. Right in the heart of Greenwich, a short stride away from the park and University sits this solid institution. A nice big space with plenty of outside seating this pub offers a generous selection behind the bar. Nicely surprised by the price of my pint(£3.50 for a 1666) it’s very generous for the other pubs in the area. The clientele are mainly tourists and students/staff from the University near by. This Tavern hosts live music nights and a nice menu. All together, a good standard of service, price and setting.

We stopped here for lunch. Quiet pub. Very average. The chicken & leek pot pie was very good. Excellent selection of drinks.
