Damn you Expedia for recommending this place. For about $ 100 a night, I figured thats a pretty good deal for London and with wi-fi included, it was a bonus. But as soon as I walked into my room, I thought man, «Damn you Expedia.» This was the smallest room I’ve ever booked, although I had the impression it was a lot bigger when I originally booked it. The bed only fits one person and not at all comfortable. The pillow was very thin and I needed a second one to help put an extra layer between my head and the uncomfortable matress. And the sheets were worn out and old. No AC, although they do have a fan to help out with the heat. No carpet, just squeaky wooden floors. They do have an old stained rug in my small room. The bathroom is small too. A shower that can again only fit one person. So again picture a tiny room here people. Although this hotel is very convenient in that it is located just a 5 minute walk to the Paddington station. Note for the Americans. Make sure you bring your converter and a power converter since they only have 220VAC and they have those weird 3 pronged plugs.

My BF and I stayed here when we went to visit London. He found it for a good price. The room is standard. Pretty small but sufficient. The room had a tv with basic cable, phone, and that’s about it. The bathroom is pretty cute and tiny. The place is very quaint. The service was nice, friendly, and super helpful. They informed us the best place to go around the city necessarly by the tour buses but by the tube. My biggest compliment was of the layout of the building and the breakfast. It was ridiculously difficult finding our room. The room wasn’t located just up the staircase but down several different deadend hallways and up other stairways that lead to small hallways. Did that sound confusing? Because it was. I had to ask the staff several times how to get back to the room. Now onto the breakfast, it said breakfast was included but it was not. 5 pounds for each person for your standard British breakfast. It tasted just ok. Not the best. The reason I rate this place as 3 stars is because for a hotel in London, it’s usually very posh and overpriced. This place was nice, very clean, neat, and moderately priced.
