A lovely little coffee house with a comfortable creative atmosphere. Sad to hear it’s part owned by tesco as they totally had me fooled with the independent vibe. We’ve had some of the lovely fresh herbal teas(peach blossom) and it looks like wifi was good as many people working on laptops. We also went during coffee week and they had some fun competitions going on for tasting different types of beans. Staff always super helpful and friendly.

The BBQ chicken Roll is very nice. It’s lovely to have a Sunday afternoon in H&H with a cup of Green Jade Cloud tea.

I feel like I’ve tried and tested more than half of the coffee shops in London, and this one has just managed to jump straight to the top of the list. And on a Saturday morning no less!(For clarity, Saturday morning is never a good time on which to judge a café. It is stressful and full of weekend ditherers — the food & drink version of Sunday drivers. That said, H+H ran like a well-oiled machine this morning, and that has to applauded.) Lovely staff, great selection of food, welcoming atmosphere, and perfectly brewed coffee and tea. All served in a beautifully decorated, spacious café. The only disappointment is that it’s really far from my house — but the trip is worth it. I’ll definitely be back.

Wow another Crouch End coffee spot on top of the 15 plus already in existence in the N8 area. And it’s run by Tesco to boot. I hate to say it, but well done Tesco. You had me fooled that it was an independently run café, what with your handwritten menus on the glass, and local community calendar on the walls. There’s usually somewhere to sit, even on busy weekends — no mean feat with all the yummy mummy pramage around. There’s wifi and a great array of coffee if that’s your thing. Not that I actually drink the stuff. They serve some interesting teas too. Including a yummy white peach tea. There’s a weird buzzer system, which vibrates when your drinks are ready — reminds me a bit too much of ordering pizza at pubs at university. But generally this place is good, the staff are kind and gave us free drinks when we bought coffee making equipment from them as Christmas presents. But what? Why no club cards points?

Nice atmosphere and staff who are really friendly without seeming false. It’s nicely designed with miss matched chairs, comfy sofas and shabby chic bits and bobs giving it the feel of an independent place despite the fact it is a chain. The loose leaf tea is great and comes in a nice glass and chrome pot. So much nicer than just getting a tea bag in hot water like at Costa and Starbucks etc.
