I keep trying to avoid eye contact with this place, purely for the reason that I know what lies await inside. Everytime. Everytime I pass, like a magnet it draws me right in. I buy something new; meatball sub, a loaf of sourdour or some sandwich or pastry. It’s of very high quality. You pay the price(costly) but it’s very very good.

Was here twice just for an almond-chocolate croissant. Absolutely delicious, hard to find piece in London. The place itself is a bit small, bit pricey, variety not very large, but what they have seem to be top quality. And it’s kind of cozy inside.

Best brownies in the world! Oh and their potato and rosemary sourdough, to die for! Yum!!! Have found their staff to be a little abrupt in the past but who cares with such delicious food(plus I usually take away)

A place you definitely eat with your eyes! I got the meatball marinara sandwich. So good! Must say coming from the US, I’ve had so many baguettes in Europe. An insane amount. This baguette was delish too. A place to frequent for lunch or afternoon snack.

They make excellent hot cross buns when in season! I’m also a fan of their cupcakes and tarts. They have a wide variety of breads as well. Everything I’ve tried so far is tasty and of great artisan quality. A bit pricey depending on what you get. Definitely recommend it over other bakeries.

Went here on the last bank holiday when it seemed ALL of crouch end was closed and I was HUNGRY! Gail’s was so fantastic. They have a few pastries and breakfast items in the front window but try to withstand temptation and have a cup of tea or an espresso, sit down, and order something from their kitchen. Their toast alone is amazing and you need to treat yourself to their fluffy, moist eggs or one of their other various tasty breakfast/brunch treats. You will not regret it trust me.

The kind of bakery I was looking for. They have many many savoury pastries, Which I hadn’t seen in other bakeries. I bought chicken sandwich and ham & cheese croissant. They were very nice. It came to over £8 so it’s not cheap though but I will come back for sure.
