For some reason most of the waitstaff in all of England are soooo rude and pretentious! I get that some already have their tip included so they don’t care to give you good service but in other places I had to leave no tip – something I absolutely hate doing. This restaurant was no exception. You would expect a restaurant in Harrod’s to have exceptional service but the host and the waitress were both rude and unfriendly. Our waitress barely smiled and looked at us as if we were inconveniencing her or interrupting her day. She even ticked off my friend when she took my friend’s silverware and gave it to the guy sitting next to us at the bar. Really? Who does that? She couldn’t bother getting more silverware from somewhere else and even though we didn’t have our food yet, that was extremely rude. After giving us our food(which my friend received hers first then finally 10 minutes later I got mine) the waitress waited another 5 minutes before offering cheese to my friend. Yes, of course she wants cheese on her pasta! We had our credit cards out waiting for her to bring our bill and she kept ignoring us. I finally had to wave her down and ask her for it. Which it still took her another 10 minutes to bring it to us. I had the bruschetta and the pizza crust is very good. My friend created her own pasta dish which she let me have a couple of bites of and it was also very good but not worth the 20 pounds she spent on it. I got the same dish at an outside restaurant for half the price. I would recommend splitting a pizza since it’s a pretty good size. If your picky about sanitation, I wouldn’t eat here. I saw several servers put toppings on pizzas without washing their hands before or after… yes, the servers that handle money, credit cards, cell phones etc. Putting dirty hands on pizza toppings that aren’t cooked afterwards… there are some toppings that are left fresh like the prosciutto. I did love the guy tossing pizza dough and singing an operesque song about pizza in Italian. That was awesome!

Delicious pizza. I enjoy their thin crust, fresh toppings and the ambiance in general, and that is why I’m a regular customer. There’s also a singing chef for entertainment, an added bonus. Downside is that it can get quite busy.

Very expessive pizza, but very good quality. The pizza in it self should get 4 stars, but the price brings it back to 3 stars. The service is perfect, the seating in the huge department store of Harrods nice and calm. I only tried the pizza, but the rest(pasta & co.) also looks quite OK.

Its in Harrods! That’s about the end for exclamation here, yes it’s pizza made by real Italians, doesn’t make up for the pricing though, bordering on crazy. As for the food itself, it’s good, good dough, quality toppings. Beer selection, you are having a Peronist whether you wanted to or not. Just can’t give it a higher rating based off the pricing.

Expensive, yes. But you are eating inside Harrods and it is London, so you have to expect that. But we split a pizza and found it to be very good. The pizza was a classic, served with mozzarella, San Marzano tomatoes, and basil. It was tasty and the ingredients fresh. And ultimately, it was just nice to sit down, have a nice pizza(large enough to share), and take a break.

Even though it’s quite more expensive than other pizzerie, it’s worth the price and the queuing for various reasons: the ingredients are premium, smell and taste really good; it’s difficult to find good pizza dough in London, let alone real wood oven pizza; finally, it makes you feel like in a real trattoria. It’s actually the only place where I actually saw the pizzaioli working the dough by making it fly in the air, like in the movies. Also, the pasta is perfect, being al dente, and the sauces being really tasty and thick. The service is also premium, and the waiters pay good attention to the customers. However, save for the feeling of being in a unique place, the price really makes it a place you go once in a year or less frequently, more some special occasion.

Technically, the pizzeria at Harrods only gets two £ signs. It is «moderate» in that you spend less than £25 a head. Really, though? The most expensive fucking pie I’ve ever had. Matt B. and I met our friend for dinner without first checking the prices, and we were shocked when we sat down and realized the cheapest pizza was an astonishing £15.50. I’ve had some epic pizza in my day, and I have never paid more than $ 15 for my share, including beer. My stomach is large, the pound is strong — do the math. The three of us decided to give the place as I had heard good things, and we ordered two pizzas to share. Our server seemed a little bit judgmental about our decision. We also declined to spend £4.50 on 330ml sodas. Service at the counter was speed, but definitely lacking in personability. We went with the classic margherita for £15.50 and the diavolina for £17.85. I’m accustomed to margherita pizzas loaded with fresh basil, but this was a glorified cheese pizza. There was basil in it, but it was only apparent in the mildest flavor. In a similar vein, the diavolina with«peppered Napolitano salami with vine-ripened tomatoes and mozzarella» was straight-up pepperoni. Yellow cheese, reddish circles of pork, fancy name. Both pizzas were fine, by which I mean fair, thin, chewy crust, greasy but tasty cheese, and an overall impression of decency. Both were also very unmemorable, and on the whole, huge rip-offs. I would maybe be happy with the quality if I paid half price, but even then wouldn’t keep this place on my rotation. At the very least, they were well sized for individual pizzas, and the three of us were satisfied with our portions. When I went back to the States after my trip in London, my experience at Harrods Pizza is one of the first I related to friends at home. «How was London?» would be answered with, «Oh, fun, but I did eat a $ 30 pizza.» This place must survive on business from the tourists who not only visit Harrods, but actually have the means and desire to buy things there. I guess if you have a Vertu phone, spending upwards of £15 on pizza is child’s play.
