Headmasters goes against my general life rule of supporting independents where I can, because they’re a chain but I can’t give them up! The selection of magazines is always great (and they’re current, no reading about Chris & Gwyneth’s happy life together) and there’s a good selection of complimentary drinks. The head massage as part of the hairwash is always fab, and the staff is the right sight of chatty, never verging onto the annoying talk-​a-​lots. I’ve never had a bad cut, and they always talk you through other options for styling your hair. This is one part of my life that will not be going independent any time soon!
