I just moved to London and am really happy to have found Cherri at Headmasters at Clapham South. I was nervous about letting someone new cut and colour my hair. I go to a Kerastase salon at home in Tampa that I love. Cherri knows her stuff and did a wonderful job. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. She did a great job — I’ll be back every 6 weeks! The salon is very clean and on trend — front desk ladies were very friendly. Offered to take my coat and tea on arrival. I would recommend this salon and Cherri if you live out this way, for sure!

How fortunate am I to have finally found a Fabulous Hairdresser in London?!
Amy at Headmasters is a diamond, she has taken away my fear of kamikaze cutters…
After a thorough consultation, she took on my ideas, made suggestions but never acted without my approval during the entire process. The shampoo and head massage was lovely, the haircut excellent and in consideration of my wavy locks the blow dry created a glamorous, polished look that last for days afterward… The salon staff were pleasant and responsive, what more could you ask for? I will definitely be returning to see Amy at Headmasters Clapham High Street for my next cut!

I have had my hair done here a few times now and the service is great. The staff are lovely, the hairdressers are very professional and overall it’s a nice environment, the salon is very clean and the prices seem reasonably well!

I went there last month and I am still thinking abut the experience. The worst I had in London. I had my ends damaged, I wanted a cut also I decided to dye my hair to match my natural colour as planning to have a baby:)I usually let the hairstylist choose for me as they are the experts. what a mistake the result was a disaster, I paid over £160 for colour£cut…I came out with gingery hair. The second day I washed them, they were totally ruined and burnt almost from the root. Friends thought was a DIY, I was ashamed to tell them I actually paid a hell lot of money for it, I didn’t tell my husband either… I feel so gutted. tomorrow I will get a dramatic hair cut, just cos I can no longer deal with this mess!

After a recommendation from a friend (who also happens to be a beauty/​fashion journalist), I ventured over to Headmasters with trepidation to say the least. I normally try and avoid hair salon chains — and the lacklustre service you get for the huge amount of money you fork out — but I’ve been going back to Headmasters Clapham every month or two, for almost a year.
I always see Kym, who is extremely talented and nice. She helped me after a disastrous attempt at trying to go from black hair to my more natural dark blond, which another salon (cough GMs of East Dulwich, cough) failed at dismally.
The salon itself is clean, and located conveniently close to Clapham South tube station.

My friend had visited this salon and her hair looked perfectly fine so I though i would give it a go. I visited the salon once for a consultation for a cut and colour, and somehow the lady i spoke to manage to talk me out of all the services all together.
I’m not a sucker for a sales pitch — it completly turns me off. I stop listening, i come to the hairdressers to relax not be hassled.
Anyway that being said i tried this salon again on one of the late bookings for £20. The hairdresser was pleasant enough, and to my liking didn’t try and sell me anything.
You can expect a decent cut, and i would definitely return. If you can get a last minute appointment it is great value for money.
