We heard the views here are great and popped in for a drink. After 20 minutes of waiting for service, I approached the waiter and asked if I could place a drink order. He said he would be right with me. I then waited another 20 minutes before walking out. Not worth the wait.

It won’t change your world but it’s definitely a hidden gem. The 5* is well worth it. To preface this: I don’t like super busy bars or bars that are trying to be cool. I will admit to liking the occasional hipster bar but this isn’t one. I came here with a mate on a little reminiscent tour of the West End as we both used to work here. After a few of my regulars(see my other reviews in this area if you’re dying to see) we came here. He described it as «rubbish but you can have a chat and it’s got great views». He was mostly right. It’s actually decent with great views! The drinks aren’t too expensive(£30 for two gin and tonic and two rum and ginger which I ‘think’ were doubles) and the views are particularly good. I ‘think’ because it looked particularly full but there was ice and it was a thin glass. It was still good though. Without sounding too vulgar. The view from the gents was from a much better angle. I would give it a 7⁄10. You could see the BT tower which made for a slightly more impressive view than West London from the West End(houses). The décor is dated, but I genuinely don’t think that matters with an awesome view and cheap(ish) drinks. Added to this was that it was basically empty. On a Thursday night between 930−11pm. We got served with table service and paid on card so our only focus was on having a good time and discussing sci-fi books in intense detail. This is genuinely lacking from a lot of London’s bars(the relaxed, quiet atmosphere. I don’t know about sci-fi chat). I know that a 5* review may sound a bit much but if you’re in the West End or Oxford Street and want a relaxed, genuinely pleasant drink. Come here. Can’t recommend it enough.

The Heights restaurant is a very nice place to have a great dinner. We were there on a Saturday night and it was not very busy. The staff was extremely nice and the food was awesome. In addition to all this is a very nice view across the city. Fully recommended!

This place has probably the best viewpoint over London. Both north and south, you can predict the weather and if you are wet see beautiful rainbows. But the place feels like a 15th floor little chef. Heston will not be coming. But it is, all considered, cheap.

Fantastic views, from a less than usual perspective are the main reason to visit this bar at the top of the less than glamorous St Georges Hotel. That and London Pride. Otherwise the décor and ambience are not that great and you wouldn’t visit if it were on the ground floor. But it isn’t — so try it!

This is a great place to come if you like views of London. On one side, you can see the BT Tower, Centre Point, and many other landmarks into the City and beyond. On the other side, a view into West London, including a terrific look down onto All Soul’s Church in Portland Place and BBC Broadcasting House. It’s a great place for a quick photograph of the view; and particularly good when the sun is setting. It’s never not too noisy, and never too full. The other reviewers would seem to think this is because nobody knows it exists: I have a subtly different view, which is based on experience of the service(it’s awful), the prices(they’re expensive), the atmosphere(1980s décor in a 1950s building), the chill you get from sitting next to the windows on the east side(no double glazing), the choice of beer(all bottled), and the music which, when the CD skips(and it will), will drive you slowly insane. These factors conspire, I think, to make it not really very popular. Which is its saving grace — a great place for a quiet meeting at any time of the day, with an exclusive feel and a swanky express lift. If you can get over the downsides, it’s still a very useful place to know about.

This bar has a penthouse location and looks out across North London. Popular with the BBC radio staff due to it’s location. Good selection of wines and light snack/meals. Never crowded but can have limited access at weekends due to wedding parties.

The Heights Restaurant, Bar and Lounge is situated on the 15th floor of Saint Georges Hotel. Not many people know of this place, as a result it is relatively quiet even on a Friday night(not packed full with people). It has got a stunning view of Central London, overlooking All Souls Church. The drinks are relatively inexpensive about £20 to £30 for a bottle of wine; great value for money. It is not too noisy, good for have a small group of friends for a nice chatting up session. This is what I usually do when I go to The Heights. The interior is quite old fashion a bit like the late 80s’ style. Not a particularly hip venue; just a casual hang-out place. The only saving grace is the amazing view. Not often you get a view like this in the relatively low-built London and if you do they are usually really expensive. The Heights serves food too, not a particularly interesting palette of food; quite the usual bar food.
