Very friendly and helpful staff that remember the regulars.
The quality of the meat is superb, the price reasonable. I stopped buying supermarket meat since I moved to the area.

I still frequent this butcher’s shop. They’re just so lovely. The husband and wife team are very helpful, and welcome people to take orders if they don’t have what you like. And their prices are much better than Waitrose and of course there is less packaging.
After years of coming here, they’ve begun to carry all sorts of items. Including stuffing mixes, bread crumbs, broths, and a small variety of smoked fish. And all are from small producers! It really doesn’t get much local and small business than this.

I am now a regular at this butchers and am constantly impressed at their reasonable prices and personable service. Just picked up some lovely homemade kievs in there (£1.85 each) and a lovely bit of sliced beef. Really clean shop. highly recommended.

This butcher is my fav place. A good range of meat and if something is not available you can always order.
The owner and wife are really friendly.
I discovered in more recent times that they have a good selection of cheeses. The welsh cheddar wrapped in black wax is gorgeous!

A friendly local butchers shop. I was looking for a joint once and what they had in the window was a bit too small for my needs. So the proprietress went to the back and pulled out a few fresh ones and cut one to the size that I needed and gave me some advice on how to properly cook crackling.

Superb and surprisingly cheap butchers round my way. I love it here — the way I can put together a decent sausage, bacon and egg sandwich (with some bread from Golden Loaf (
) over the way) for cheaper than greasy spoon prices. The black bacon is particularly good and you can pick up lots and lots of deep yellow yolked eggs.
The man and wife (I assume) team in here run a great shop — they know a lot, their meat is very good quality indeed. My absolute go-​to place from now on.
