Had the vegetarian chili noodles; really good. I also had the vegetarian dumplings and the avocado maki/roll, which I liked a lot. The owner(I think?) brought our food out with another member of the staff and when the staff member brought the dumplings the owners had him take them back and make a new order, since they were over-cooked. It was great to not have to complain. Love when a restaurant upholds high standards on its own.

Had their lunch special of Karage Chicken. The rude customer service is a big turnoff. The fatty skin in the karage and rotten vegetable side made my tummy ache badly afterwards. First and last time I would say unless I want to risk myself in the hospital for no reason.

This place is the bang bang. I had egg fried rice and something that tasted very much like a chicken curry… and the spare ribs were also amazing!!! Such big portions and pretty damn cheap!

This place should either be cheaper or better. Ideally both. A greasy fry-up in what looks like was once a grand old pub. They’ve a load of Malaysian and Singaporean dishes that are hard to find… but poorly executed here. It’s fine, and cheap-ish, but not all that.

Today I went for second time — I think this is one the best kept secret in London. I did not try any sushi — all I ate was Malaysian items. Laksa, tofu appetizer, Singapore noddles, Malaysian fried rice were amazing. People are very friendly and it was very busy — looks like there are lot of regular visitors there.

It is a family restaurant, quite and simple. Not for fancy dinners, but pretty decent for having a quite and cheap dinner. The service is good and the staff are friendly. They have a huge range of Asian food. I recommend«Chicken Katsu Curry and traditional green tea».

We were looking for a place to eat on our way back to our hotel and we stopped for a quick bite at Hikari. I was craving some won ton soup, but they had a tom yung goon soup on the menu, which I’ve only had in a Thai restaurant, so I ordered that instead. It was a decent rendition, but a pretty small serving compared to the other soups on the menu. The other items we tried were the Japanese(agedashi) Tofu, Vegetarian Spring Rolls, and the Won Ton Soup with Noodles. The spring rolls were really unimpressive, and the sauce on the tofu was disgustingly sweet. I’m going to bet I’ll never go back, because if the quality of their food doesn’t improve, this place won’t be there by the time I make it back to London.

Went for lunch because we wanted something close. It’s mostly Japanese, but also has a lot of other Asian dishes, primarily Chinese. * Hip Hop Roll Was not particularly special, but it was flame grilled, which gave it that nice grill flavour. * Spicy Tuna and Vegetable Gyoza Bento Boxes We decided to get the bentos because they were cheap. Lunch special is £5.99 for certain bentos. The gyozas were half crispy and half soft on the outside, so not the best, but the filling was really good. The salad was unfortunately not tasty at all, and the spring rolls were okay, but had very little filling. For the spicy tuna, it was actually hard to tell that it was tuna, and I’ll leave it at that. I would possibly consider going again but then trying their non-Japanese dishes.
