So exploring west London in preparation for Unilocal’s WestFest I stumbled upon this fabulous shop. Ignore the name, antiques enthusiasts look away now, the jewels here are for fashionistas!
Art deco designs, 1950s plastic pineapples, Lady Di diamanté replica drops, you name it and this shop has it! All with a price tag mind you but if you are looking for a special gift or item that will wow and impress all your friends look no further. You really can spend hours in here, or at least that’s what I did. Everything is in a glass case as most of it is delicate and it must be hard stopping people with a five finger discount from snapping up these beauties otherwise.
The items are all laid out thematically, so you’ll find your scotty dog choker with the houndstooth broaches off course. Head on down if you have some time during the week, that way the whole place isn’t over run by tourists and you can look in peace, even better than that, go on a rainy day… Notting Hill becomes a ghost town.

Alles ist nach Designer oder optischen Gesichtspunkten sortiert.
Den Samstag sollte man als Besuchstag vermeiden oder ganz früh hingehen. Der Laden ist an der Ecke zur Portobelloroad, wo sich am Samstag die Massen durchschieben, dementsprechend ist der kleine Laden dann überfüllt.

Everything that sparkles, shines and glitters seems to have found its way into this vintage costume jewellery shop.
I find it totally overwhelming and impossible to find just one thing to buy but I do love this shop all the same.
Maybe with a whole day in the shop I might actually manage to buy something, but for the more decisive jewellery lover this may well be your heaven.

If you love jewellery and if you love vintage they you will absolutely fall in love with Hirst’s Antiques. It is set in the perfect location in Notting Hill and has the most stunning jewellery with a fantastic range making it a feast for the eyes for any girl!
There is so much crammed into this tiny treasure trove and it’s all arranged in colours, styles and name of designer. They have a fantastic array of pieces from the art-​deco period through to the fifties. They also have some furniture and decorative items but the main focus and charm is the jewellery. They owners obviously have a passion for collecting these beautiful, unique pieces and I am like a child in a sweet shop whenever I go in here. The prices range from around £30 up to hundreds depending on the piece and for the sculptures and furnishings the prices vary also but I would expect to pay no less that £150 for those kinds of pieces.
I absolutely adore this shop and everything in it-​I would love to own it all as all the pieces range from beautiful delicate, feminine designs to chunky in your face, colourful pieces to everything else you could imagine. You HAVE to see this place!
