If you want to have your iPhone stolen this a great spot! My iPhone was taken from my bag within 5 mins of entering this place last night as was my friends about 3 weeks ago. I most certainly do not recommend.

Somebody converted their small house into a make-shift party bar and called it, rather cleverly, Inn Clapham. Because it’s ‘Inn’ Clapham… right?! I’ve been a fair few times not as a ‘regular’ customer but accompanying friends who are all bar workers at the other establishments in Clapham. Chances are that if you bowl up here at 3am on a Saturday you’re going to bump into that lovely lass who served your G&Ts earlier in the night, and possibly that bouncer who suggested you move on. Strange atmosphere in here, but there isn’t much else open later at night that you don’t have to pay to get into.

Ha! When this place arrived it used to make me smile: blaring out loud pop/dance music onto the street — it seemed to think it was on a backpacker beach. It still does. It’s like a lounge bar with ADHD — screaming for attention but sadly getting none. Often empty, aside from its sounds, this dingy place is completely uninviting and not worth the trip. I went in for a drink and left depressed that this is what could call fun.

Inn Clapham is so not ‘in’ Clapham although it tries to be. It’s a tiny little lounge bar at the top of The Pavement with weathered old couches to sit on and Christmas tree lights hanging like duct tape in the front window. From time to time the DJ lays some sick tunes, which is a bonus, but the atmosphere makes you want to flee after a while. It’s small, dingy and claustrophobic. The drinks are really cheap though, so it’s a good place to get a double and hang loose for 20 minutes before you make a fashionably late appearance at the real party you’re going to on a Saturday night.

The Inn Clapham is one of those places you would just walk past if you didn‘t know it was there. With a tiny glass shop front this is a undiscoverd gem in South West London. With comfy seating and cushions scattered all around the back, it is the perfect placee for a relaxed drink with friends, or a great date venue! With DJs playing at weekends and a intimate feel to the place, the owner is usually found talking amongst the customers — and having a few drinks with them also. You don‘t have to get dressed up to go here, as long as you have some good company, this is a superb palce for a chilled one.
