3.5÷5.0 Food was very nice, waitstaff was very friendly and helpful, though a little slow(it was only about half capacity at around 9pm on a Saturday night), but the décor and overall lack of ambiance made the meal much less enjoyable — I like Montell Jordan’s ‘This Is How We Do It’ just as much as the next guy, but not when I’m trying to enjoy a nicely cooked lamb roast. Also, the large, open layout gave the restaurant a cafeteria like vibe, which felt much more well suited to a celebratory graduation dinner with family than a quiet, romantic dinner for two. Overall, good, but not quite worth what you might end up spending(£65 incl tip for 2.5 course mea for two w. one glass of Wine) Though again, the food is quality.

I would not call this ‘proper’ Italian food; but it is certainly decent food. For the £££ price, you kind of get what you paid for, but unfortunately portions are quite small. You generally won’t need to book, but a group of over 4 I would say you best secure a table first, given it is business district. The setting is nice, a little dark, giving you a hint of romance; however as soon as you look around, the environment will kindly remind you to finish your food and move on. You can tell, I’m not the biggest fan, but trying to be objective here, it does deserve a 4 star.

Way way way too noisy. I couldn’t hear co workers across the table at lunch. Not enjoyable

Created by the infamous Jamie Oliver, Jamie’s Italian is one of the series of restaurants under his brand. I went here for a weekday dinner with co-workers. We ordered a few bruschetta plates to share for starters. They were quite good. I ordered the Jamie’s Sausage Pappardelle for my main. The sausage was a bit too salty and very dry. The pasta was quite salty as well. I didn’t particularly enjoy it. We also had some Polenta Chips to share, which were delicious! The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the staff are fairly attentive.

Went for lunch with a colleague, and I really enjoyed my crab risotto(special of the day). It was adequately creamy and flavourful, though I did wish they would have been more generous with the crab meat. Service was prompt and good. The waiter kindly recommended the risotto to me when I initially ordered the crab spaghetti which turned out to be a good advice. Ambience is pretty down to earth. Almost felt like an Uno joint to me, though of course, it’s classier than Uno. Would definitely go back for another lunch during the work week.

I’m a big Jamie Oliver fan but was wary of the chain aspect of the restaurant and some of the reviews on Unilocal.I decided to take a chance and went anyway. I was traveling on business by myself and needed a relaxing dinner after a really long flight. Immediately, the service was great — very friendly and helpful. It may have helped that I was there early on a Sunday evening in the summer when the wharf area is pretty quiet. Since I was by myself, I didn’t want to order too much and was mindful of some of the reviews that talked about«small plates.» Everything looked good so I did, as I often do in restaurants, and asked the server what his favorite dish was. My fellow told me the carbonara was his favorite. I’m not typically a huge fan of carbonara but I decided to take a chance. I also chose the fried crab risotto balls as a starter. I did get a cocktail from the bar that was very tasty — St. Germain, prosecco and soda. I also had a glass of sauv blanc that was quite lovely. All good in the bar department. The crab balls were delicious. Really nice presentation with greens, fennel and sauces that complimented the crispy fried crab/risotto. And the carbonara was really good. It had a delicate, lemony flavor to the sauce with crispy bits of pancetta and perfectly cooked pasta. I may become a convert to the carbonara. It didn’t seem pricy to me, considering the area. But I come from Jersey/NYC area where everything is so expensive in restaurants that prices don’t often phase me. I thought it was reasonable. I would definitely go back with a group because I think the value and fun would be in trying lots of different dishes. And while it may be a chain, it definitely didn’t have the«chain atmosphere.»

We came here with a group from work and it was great. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was good and our wine glasses stayed full. I would certainly recommend this restaurant to a friend.

Fantastic food. Truly fantastic. The first time I came here was for my birthday, and with this mentioned they decorated my pudding with ‘Happy Birthday Tasmine’, a real personal touch which was very sweet. The food was absolutely beautiful. We ordered damn near everything on the menu between us all, and everything was truly without fault. I personally recommend grabbing one of the sharing platters to start, the portions are just PERFECTLY sized to have three courses, and I can’t usually manage much more than a starter and main, and we all took full advantage of this! It is a little more pricey than a cheap kebab shop, but in my opinion, it’s worth every penny. The atmosphere was trendy, whilst retaining a laid-back feel, making it the kind of place that you’d take your parents or your kids but still staying sophisticated. The balance was perfect and its literally perfect for EVERY occasion. It really covers a huge range of bases. During the daytime I could see myself taking my kids there, having a family meal or lunch with the girls. Towards the evening the rustic Italian vibes make it more romantic and intimate. It’s literally indefinable. The rustic serving style with the eponymous napkins really gave it a touch of something special, and the staff were efficient and absolutely lovely– my mother asked how much the napkins cost– they were on sale for seven pounds– and the waitress just winked and told her to put a couple in her handbag! Definitely recommend, perfect casual trendy vibe and fantastic food! An easy five stars in my book! ANDDONTFORGETTOGET A DESERT

Mediocre. Bland food. Disappointing considering all the hype about Jamie Oliver. Not coming back. The tagliatelle bolognese was dry, the spaghetti with mussels was just ok, the deserts were incredibly uninspired(chocolate and pear pavlova and a chocolate tart). Think crushed merengue and cream…

Visited Jamie’s at Canary Wharf for the second time last Sunday. Once again we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was spot on. A really good vibe without being overpowering. The menu has a brilliant choice — loving the super foods salad(even a small portion leaves you stuffed). My difficult to please hubby said the burger was the best he had tasted. We live near Jamie’s Trattoria in Chelmsford, however that is not a spot on the Canary Wharf restaurant, which we would recommend without hesitation.

first, the restaurant has great ambience: spacious, nice interior and it was outside westfield and has lots of natural light(awesome for taking pictures haha!) tried the crab spaghettini it was so. delicious. the pasta was fresh and tasted perfect. my friend tried the squid ink pasta with mussels and squid, one thing is the squid ink pasta was the bomb! + mussels and the other seafood was fresh and generously given in the plate and it was so delicious! definitely one of the best pastas ive ever tasted! will surely come back for more

This place was an absolute joy! I came here with two of my friends who didn’t know who Jamie Oliver was so I was really hoping that it would not disappoint them because I had given him rave reviews. After the meal they were right there beside me, raving the whole rest of the walk home. Me and a friend got the superfood salad yet he got the salmon and I got the chicken. We both decided that the chicken is the way to go because it was a huge piece of chicken deliciously flavored and it completely made the salad! The menu was huge and made it very hard for me to decide what to get, which ultimately made me vow to return to this restaurant another time!

Stopped by on a FEB Tuesday evening. Busy, bustling like Bobby himself. This is an mixed English/Italian Tapas place. Both Cocktails and plates are small portions and pricing is reasonable. You can order quite a bit of small dished, the prices will add up quickly. We left with about 80 quib per person. We had two bottles of reds and varies cocktail. Lemoncella is nice touch. Pasta and Sauces are genuinely tasty but meat dishes are un tamed, lesser quality and needs work. Antipasti are nice, portions are small for midgets. Unfulfilling… Bobby’s intentions are good, executions are unintentional. I will be back and try it again sometime again. Cheers to good Italian food search in UK. Unfulfilled

I love Jamie’s Italian but often find certain locations difficult to get a table at and not very relaxing. As this location is in Canary Wharf it is not as busy on a Saturday night. I ordered the ricotta bruschetta, porcini fettuccine, shared the cauliflower fritti(loved this) and shared the trio of ice-creams for dessert(chocolate, caramel, and hazelnut). All around great meal with attentive service. Though it is a chain it has excellent quality food– cannot fault. We will return!

Jamie’s is one of my go-to restaurants in Canary Wharf. They’ve got friendly staff with good service. It’s one of the bigger restaurants in the area and it’s fairly easy to get a seat without reservations, although they also do take reservations. In terms of seating, they have nice window seats along the bag wall but they also have an outdoor terrace which has rain cover in the event of bad weather but also heat lamps when required. The food is good, what you expect from Jamie’s. They make the pasta in-house and have the pasta machine right at the front so you can see them making it. I’ve tried various pasta dishes there and the flavours are always great. I’m giving them 3 stars however, because the portions(for the large size mains) are always smaller than expected and unless I order something more I would leave hungry!

Jamie’s Italian is a defining feature for the Wharf area now, which deserves such a food option. Brilliant food! That’s the first thing came up to my mind at my first visit. My favorite menu items are the starters. Try them as you’ll be surprised every time. I’d go there again for sure.

Very friendly staff with an excellent sense of humor. They will keep you entertained when serving and taking orders. Food is delicious too. The problem with me is that I am not so used to having Italian, so I was a little confused with the variety of options. I ordered a vegetable plank which was served beautifully on a wooden plank. Though the dishes were on tiny little plates on the plank.(Don’t get the wrong idea They don’t serve you food on wooden planks) That was more like a tray. A tiny serving of salad, some roasted vegetables soaked in olive oil and a serving of some hard biscuit like cheese. I also ordered chips as a side with no dip. It was a filling meal. But I found it rather difficult to have the salad from the tiny plate using normal sized cutlery. It felt like I was Gandalf and having food from a Hobbit’s house. The slice of onion in olive oil would just not get cut. But somehow after some embarrassing attempts I managed to finish it all off. The tiny slice of cheese was the easiest to eat. Overall a good meal though. When going through their menu for drinks I spotted a lager that I had never heard of till that day. It wasn’t popular probably because it is only served there. Their home brewed Liberta. That tasted good and didn’t have much of the beery foam that comes with most beers. Not sure if this was because they only served it in bottles and not from the tap. And to end the meal I finally had their special sorbet. Everyday a different fruit, that’s what they claim and on that day I had mango and passion fruit. It was a lot for me. I don’t usually eat a lot of cold stuff, so it took a while to swallow all that fruity coldness. It was rich in fruit you can feel it when you have it. And finally got it all paid by a cousin. Great dinner!

Never disappointed with the quality here, despite it being a chain restaurant(and quite a large chain now, from what I hear!) It can get quite noisy and busy for weekday lunches, so make sure you book ahead. I do recommend the pastas, as they’re made freshly on site, and the sauces are amazing.

I really enjoyed coming here with a large group of coworkers. The dining area is open, bright and I liked the décor. For starters they brought out a long plank filled with bite size fish, deli meats and an assortment of olives… all of which was very nice. So much so I’m contemplating in coming her for a lunch and just getting the plank! For the main I had the sole & calamari which was really good. the zesty red sauce was a perfect touch… oh, and the bread they server here is outstanding as well. I noticed several complaints on the wait staff… however being with a large group there were at least four people serving us and all were very professional and on top of their game! I’ll definitely be checking back in here again!
