Johnnies

This is a new café/​diner and it did not feel quite finished. It is based on an American diner theme and to a point they had pulled it off.
They had the glossy photos on the wall alongside pictures that you associate with American dinners. They have the comfy booth red booth seats with some normal seats thrown in for good measures.
There is no table service and you have to go up to the counter to order what you fancy. They have a menu board which covers breakfast lunch & dinner. Once you have made your order and paid, this is the important bit, they give you a receipt with a number on it.
They do not ask where you are going to sit this is because once your order is ready they will call your number, hence the need to keep the receipt with your number on it. I did hear one guy saying he had lost his receipt and could not remember the number but knew what he had ordered, a little bit of a palaver followed but it was sorted out.
I think once they have been open a bit longer, finished putting up the signage on the front of the shop. Lay whatever flooring they will be putting down in the entrance is I think this could be a nice little venue for a breakfast bite or a lunchtime stop off.
