Total fan of this place! Great for client meetings, super quick food-to-mouth times, and easily the best sushi train I’ve ever had… ever. Sushi trains are by definition a disgusting mess of greyish salmon done three thousand ways, whereas this place, even before hitting the a la carte menu, offers tons of ready made dishes of SOMETHINGOTHER than salmon. Winner. Tad pricey for lunch, but alas — its not itsu, ay.

Really great quality sushi! There’s a really decent selection — from the basic maki/nigiri dishes through to carpaccio’s and crème brulees! There’s a long train and although there’s often a queue at lunch, it moves really quickly. The only downside is that it’s quite expensive for what it is. Quite standard for the City, however for this reason I give it a 4 and not a 5. Regardless, I will continue to go back!

This place is a city eatery, like many other popular places in the city it’s busy and if you turn up at the wrong time(1230 – 1330) your gonna sit in a long Que. We opted for the sit down section in the restaurant, it’s a conveyor belt sushi place with quite a lot of seats but still busy during weekday lunch time with city sorts. The food was actually ok, there’s a lot of selecton and the conveyor is always full with tempting new options. It’s not the freshest but I liked the selection and it had some unusual options. There is also cooked food that you can order at your seat. The service is manic, but its to be expected with the amount of people going through the place. We were seated within 10 mins which was what we were quoted. I thought the price was a little over what I would have expected but you need to remember where this place is situated and the popularity… It’s probably about right. There are other places I go for take away Japanese that are better(and closer to my office) but I like the funky concept of this place and could be persuaded to go back.

good, fresh sushi and very reasonably priced. i was impressed with the variety of vegetarian rolls they had available. most sushi restaurants seem to carry a standard veggie roll that is not very exciting. however K10 had a ton of creative and interesting vegetarian options, my favorite being one with avocado and sun dried tomato that was wrapped in eggplant. i was also a fan of the non sushi items they had going by on the conveyor belt, the seaweed salad was great and had a nice spiciness to it. i had about 4 plates and my bill was surprisingly under 17 pounds.

Had this place for lunch today. First time I have ever been to a place where the food is on a conveyer around the whole place and you grab what you want. I’ve seen it on TV, but never in person. Food was very fresh and new stuff constantly being added. Sushi & sashimi were very good. One beef tartar plate I got was very good but was a little spicy for me.

Ordered: Chicken Katsu Curry Meal, or Yakiniku Meal, or sushi counter downstairs Price: £6.50 for meal, sushi counter — group of 4: £80 Review: My favourite meal place for lunch! Having lived in Japan, this is as close as it is going to get I think for both the katsu curry and the Yakiniku! The meal comes with a edamame and a drink. A must for a quick bite to eat. Sushi is so so. Don’t expect the mind blowing :) Tip: Go on Friday at 2pm for half price discounts on all remaining food :) See you in the line :)

Great sushi place. Has just about everything you could want. If you don’t see it, ask for it. It is not cheap, but what in London is? Be patient and see what comes around!

So I have a Japanese name so I’m entitled to be a little picky with my Japanese food. K10 City is a kiosk size mini shop near Moorgate. So I had little expectations as I assume like other satellite shops for bigger chains, most of the food were prepared at a bigger nearby shop and delivered to the location. I was surprised that that they managed to squeeze in a hot food bar in one corner. Serving a limited but sufficient selection(for lunch anyway) of hot dishes. There are also a few cold cabinets for the usual range of sushi & sashimi boxes. They have a lunch special as well(the website says the promotion finished back in Apr ’13 but it’s still going) which gets you a hot dish or Sushi set + a side & drink… It’s ok value. possibly slightly better value than some other Japanese places with their inflated inner city prices nearby. One super positive thing I must say was the speed, even with hot dishes you can be in & out of the shop within a minute. Awesome if you a super busy city worker whose minute would cost more than the lunch itself. I had the Chicken Katsu Curry(which personally I think is a crime to eat as takeaway… this & McDonalds hash browns should be eaten the moment it reaches your hands) lunch deal. the flavours were good, slightly light on veg in the curry. in short I liked it but it wasn’t spectacular. But I’d definitely go back again if I need a Katsu Curry in a hurry.

I am slightly obessesd with K10 and it has firmly established itself as a lunch time favourite, as the queue is often out of the door many people in the Square Mile agree with me. K10 sells«modern Japenese food» according to the sign outside and being a creature of habit I usually go for the chicken katsu curry priced at £6. That may seem expensive but the meal also comes with a free drink and edamane beans which makes it a bargain.

What a fabulous place! Very fresh, great service and the long queue moves quickly. Its very consistent — the Yellow Fin Tuna is just sensational. No doubt hands down the best«fast» Japanese in the City.

Pricey but decent sushi. Katsura not bad either.

I have to disagree with the last review — the sushi here is of a pretty high quality — much better than Yo Sushi for example. Everything is made on site, and it’s worth ordering some of the hot dishes from the menu. It is a little expensive but I’ve yet to find a sushi bar in London which isn’t. It’s busy because it’s good.

Example of worst kind of conveyor-belt Japanese sushi joint. Restaurant is in the cellar where the ambience and décor is modern but uninviting. Music was irritating as well. Food is pretty tasteless, uninventive and very expensive for what you get. Service was quite good though and the water is free. The place is pretty packed, which gives one an idea of the palates of bankers.

So, this is my third-favourite lunchtime sushi spot(if I am allowed to keep the long-departed-yet-still-dearly-missed Noto in the Barbican as number 1). There is conveyer belt sushi downstairs which is always a reliable fun outing with others, and they do a good job of balancing reliable favourites with new exciting plates to try. It can be dangerous though and I have more than once had to fork over obscene amounts of cash because of our(I was never the sole culprit in this!) inability to resist a plate of beautiful urchin or delicate kobe beef. But day-to-day I am a fan of their take-away service upstairs for clean sashimi and a cup of miso. And an extra helping of pickled ginger. Their added advantage is that they are exactly halfway between my work and Finsbury circus. Sushi, a spot of grass and a book chapter equals lunchtime zen.
